Highly entertaining?

I've never found a Mudnine fight to be entertaining in the least, apart from maybe the Kessler one, but it was Kessler who was entertaining me in that one, not Mundine...

dont know but a few people in the forum have said it wil be announced in the next few weeks and it will be a decent opponent. shiner says it may be Sakio Bika.

Sakio Bika & Daniel Geale are probably the only credible local options for Mundine.

If he places any value on the IBO title he'll need to defend it in a mandatory against Geale by Feb 27th. Seems more likely he'll duck Geale, so Bika has to be firming.

soliman 2 was entertaining. never bothered watching another mundine fight until Taylor and Geale the Taylor fight wasnt much chop but got to see mundine get hit in the nuts alot and the Geale fight was the best mundine fight i have seen.

I stopped watching Mundine fights a long time ago - sitting in a pub on a Wednesday night until 11pm waiting for that cunt to do his ringwalk and fight some cabdriver isn't my idea of a good time.

Seems unlikely Mundine will risk Geale again...do you see it differently Ash?

Leaves Bika as the only other credible other local opponent for Mundine...again, do you see it differently Ash?

I think you guys might be jumping the gun presuming Mundine will fight Bika next. Why would he fight Bika now when he has shown zero interest in fighting him over the last few years. I expect him to fight another nobody from Asia or South America. The guy is a fraud if ever there was one.

Well you mentioned that Mundine would duck Geale to fight Bika.

Most of the time when people duck a fighter they dont then go and take on a more dangerous fighter....thats all.

BTW I think another Geale fight would be huge.....I loved the first one :good

Most did. But the chances of him risking a repeat when he was fortunate in the IBO's opinion to get the points first time around?

Who do you actually see him fighting next Ash?

There's nobody of any quality that's obvious on the horizon except Bika (assuming he's going to bin the IBO belt).

I would like to see him against Alan Green. But check the Pavlik thread in General Forum where i post.

I see him looking at the winner of Lorenzo V Sylvester for the IBF

On the other hand I see him waiting to see if Sturm will fight Pavlik so Mundine can fight Carrera or Golvekin 4 the vacant title.

Geale II February is also on the cards

If i was a betting man i would say yes. Because if Winky Sturm Balzay and Martinez are out. And Williams is fighting at 154 next on HBO its already been signed. October 3rd. Then there is no other big name out there.

20 names at 154 to 168 that could take this fight and have just as good as profile as Mundine if not better....5 of those names are in the USA.

No Booradley probably does. Alan Green doesn't take big fights but. And he also doesn't fight at 160 anymore. Sturm is out, Winky is out, Williams is out, he has Dzinziruk, Balzay is out which leaves no one else at 168. And im very sure Pavlik will not risk going back up to 168. Sakio Bika really isn't a big name and he also fights at 168. I don't know anyone else. I really think it is Mundine. But we will know in 48 hours.

It will be bika, he will able to sell PPV with Bika and pay Bika some money, The media will get behind the fight and create some noise like the geale fight because there will be boxing people saying that mundine could lose the fight and bika has fought some big names and won the tv show.

The Mundine camp seem to be at an absolute impass as far as who to fight next from what I'm hearing.................nothing!

Perhaps there's something being quietly put together in the background, but that's not usually team Mundine's modus operandi.

The Green camp seem to have trumped them, at least temporarilly, with Danny's US bout coming up in 3 weeks time, followed by the tantilizing prospect of Green vs RJJ in Oz.

Logically you'd think for Mundine it would be the IBO mandatory against Geale, followed by a genuine world class overseas fighter. But it usually all ends in disappointment...go ahead Anthony shock us just once!

My guess is as follows....he wants the Pavlik/ Sturm fight to be made so he can go for the vacant title.....Mundine wont fight Pavlik or Sturm so his other option is to look to the IBF in 10 months time and fight the winner of AA's vacant strap.

He will fight the winner of the aussie contender in 8 months so he will need a keep busy easy fight in the next 4 months....I know Geale II :yep

Don't agree mate......

My grasp of "reality' based on the subject matter is as follows

1. Mundine was SWM number 4 in the world rated by RING

2. Mundine is MW number 8 in the world rated by RING

3. Mundine has won 3 world titles in 2 divisions be it vacant or second level.

4. Mundine wont beat Pavlik

You my friend on the other hand suffer from a delusional hate based syndrome of "The Man" that blinds you to the core of your existence....therefore questioning your very own logic based reality. :deal

The Ring mag eh...just two days ago I was reading an article from a 2001 edition pumping up the next big heavyweight sensation.

Whatever did happen to Audley?

I will admit there would be the odd beverage drunk in honour of the event. But like many here I stopped buying his fights years ago (I only ever did buy one) and basically watch him now just for a laugh.

While I remember, I taped his appearance of the one hd sports show a few weeks ago for you and it does have Choc in full intellectual mode competing against two mascots in a sports quiz. Surely a sight to behold, especially as he is spoonfed the most basic answers. I'll get it on to disc soon and sling you one.

Seems Bika might be keen on a jump in divisions. Was quoted just recently saying he’d like to fight WBC light heavy champ Jean Pascal.

Seems he's really peeved about being frozen out of the upcoming 'super 6' tournament.

Might just be a case of 'where can I fight for a title'. But Bika must be keen for a meaningful fight by now - I know he's got one scheduled for this thursday - but it's been 8 1/2 months!

...perhaps one less possibilty for Mundine then, but you can bet your arse if Bika wins on thursday night he'll be calling out Mundine from centre ring!

Not sure why Bika is so pissed at the super 6, all of them have better credentials in my opinion. You could make a case for swapping Taylor with Bika seeing he lost his last fight to Froch. But Taylor is a bigger name and has 2 wins over the legend Hopkins.

4 of the other 5 are undefeated and the pick of the litter (5th) is the mighty Kessler.

No room for you Scorpion.

Yeah, Bika doesn't really deserve a spot in the super 6. A case could be argued for him, but he's not a clear cut deserved entrant.

I reckon it's better for him cause what if he entered the tourney and emerged 0-3 from his 3 fights, which could be quite likely.

Hopefully, he does the job this Thursday and a bout with Pascal would be great.

True, Bika's not a walk up start, but some of these guys haven't even competed at super middle, even though they are certainly bigger 'names' than Bika.

I think Siaca is fought his last bout at middleweight, but in any case don't really want to see that fight.

Can't believe Mundine has taken two months to decide his next opponent, which is normal for any other fighter but for Mundine he's usually got it sorted within a fortnight.
