Tiger always came in around the SMW limit for his LHW fights. How would he do against Joe Cal?

Tiger burrows his way to the body and wins a decision.

calzaghe uses his hand speed to get up from the floor to win a very disputed decision

Effective bodywork by Tiger edges out Calzaghe's flurries. Tiger by 15 round decision.

No i think it's perfectly reasonable, although i do think that if Tiger knocks down Calzaghe, he has the ability to finish it.
I'm siding with you, although i know i'm about to be told by about 50 people how Calzaghe never beat a fighter this good, but oh well.

You know what, we just don't know. We only saw Calzaghe in with one guy in Tiger's class. How many champions did Tiger beat?

I knew it was coming! But it's a perfectly good point.

I don't say picking Calzaghe is "wrong". Joe was special. But he also got dumped by two old men. It's very hard to quantify him head to head. I think i'm right in saying that the only guy who beat more linear champions is Charles? That being the case the pick for Joe just sticks in my craw! Over 12 rounds I think Calzaghe has a very, very good chance, but that is as far as I would be willing to go.
Tiger would be the best fighter Joe had ever beaten, clearly and by some distance.

Yeah he also got dumped by a good counter shot by (shit what his name) Byron Williams? Which doesn't bode well for him here at all, to put it mildly, but he was a big puncher, and Joe dealt with it very well. There's always the speed, footwork, and mobility factors in favour of Joe to seome degree though.

He was also knocked down by Kabery Salem, a KD similar to the one in the Bernard Hopkins fight.

you mean Lacy wasnt good. :D
Id pick Tiger. I think is harder cleaner shots can edge out Calzaghes flurries and Tigers defence make them land on gloves anyway
