BJ Penn, Florian, Griffin and Silva on the same card is very nice. Those two fight could be great.
BJ Penn is never in borring fight, and neither Griffin.

I hope Florian wins. Prolly won't but I'll be rooting for him. He's a cool cat.

I'm looking forward to Penn and Florian. Penn seems to be too good for Florian, almost like a GSP is to Fitch kind of thing. There is always a chance, though Penn's stamina is normally better at 155, that BJ runs out of steam. If Penn tires after 2 rounds, Florian could pour it on to outhustle Penn for the decision.

I don't know, it got kinda boring watching Sherk try to stand up with Penn. :D

I just can't see anyway Griffin can beat Silva. Even though Griffin's durable as hell- it always seems that Silva has an answer for everything...:think

Not only is there little chance for Griffin to defeat Silva, there is little chance that it will even be competitive in my mind. Griffin will persue hard enough, and Griffin is slow enough, to have slaughter written all over this one. I believe this will be an ugly fight that maybe shouldn't even have been made. I don't know what Forrest did to deserve this.

I agree, He's doesn't have KO power and he is aggresive, which plays into Silvas hands. Without power Silva will be able to pin point punches at will, always knowing he can take Griffins best shots.
On the ground I believe Silva to be superior. But feel it will be a standup fight.

Forrest Griffin is more intelligent aggressive than just plain aggresive. He'll use lots of kicks and circle a lot.

I think you have it backwards dude. Griffins ONLY chance is to take Silva down and keep him on his back and hope to what ever god he worships that Silva doesn't submit him. Standing? Silva would pick Griffin apart and KO him brutally. Silva's standup is far too sophisticated and multi dimensional for Griffin to last very long at all. Griffin is too slow also. Griffin is big and strong enough to control Silva on the ground though...MAYBE!!

Forrest needs to lock himself in a room with Couture and let the Natural come up with a gameplan for him.

I meant it in the way, he won't be backing off from Silva, its just not him, he comes to fight. But Silva won't be thinking 'he can KO me' like he was against Cote.

This card would be ALOT MORE ANTICIPATED if Penn never fought GSP. When else do you get 2 of the top 5 P4P fighters on the same card??? Two of the most exciting champions also.
Penn via TKO 2nd Round
Silva via KO 1st Round
They are both coming out this time to make things right, they both have something to prove.

I think the only interesting thing about this card is that two of the best p4p fighters in the sport should be back to their usual destructive selves. I expect both BJ and Anderson to stop their respective opponents although I suppose Kenny could last longer against BJ seeing as he is a skillful fighter.
The rest of the card is just meh. You've got a TUF winner who hasn't fought in a year against some randomer, a chinny wannabe against a boring BJJ fighter and then two guys who are usually confined to UFN or undercards.

I became a fan of Sadollah's on TUF, so I'm just glad to FINALLY see him get to fight.

I dont know about more anticipated. I think it is more intriguing now just to see how Penn bounces back. Had this been pre GSP. This would have been declared a mismatch, now Penns aura took a hit against GSP and have balanced the playing field artificially for Florian.
I agree Silva by career ending beatdown

Good card. Finally we get to see someone who should force Silva to fight. Griffin isnt going to win if the fight stays on its feet but it should be fun for however long it lasts.
Penn if hes in shape and motivated is going to beat Florian...quite badly in my opinion. Florian is a good fighter i'm a pretty big fan of his. However, his 2 biggest wins were against Roger Huerta and Joe Stevenson. Stevenson is simply an average fighter who is nothing more than a gatekeeper. Florian beat him impressively though.
Penn is coming off fighting Sherk and GSP, while fighting Florian, Penn is going to think hes fighting a little child.

Griffin is no slouch on the ground and is probably a lot stronger, in terms of physical strength, on the ground than Silva. I wouldn't be surprised if he could dominate on top, if he is able to get Silva down.
Also, does anyone think that Silva can lock a body triangle on Griffin or is Griffin too big?

I think Silva is capable of more than what we have seen so far. Every fight he has he seems to have an answer for everything. He's not unbeatable, but I was pretty surprised how he disposed of Hendo like he did and hasn't had any real problems with anyone he's fought in the UFC so far...
I wouldn't be surprised if he knocks Griffin out :think
