He seems like a smart and decent person. He speaks well. His interviews are just perfect. Not overly long and rambling, and not too short either.
Just enough dash of swagger in him, he doesnt sound cocky at all.
He's the MMA version of "The Microwave". He gets hot fast.

Sakara has never impressed me. I would like to see him against a guy who can take a bit of punishment like one of the TUF wonder twins Bonner and Forrest. Babalu would have been a nice test.
I'd love to see them feed Bisping to that beast.

Houston reminds me of the old UFC fighters who just came in the octagon and started f'n fighting. There was no "feeling out process" or getting "warmed up." All there is is instant carnag as soon as the bell rings. It also helps that Houston is not a cocksucker.

And to think Keith Jarradine had said Houston Alexander was a "step down" for him. Looks like he might have to go down a coupla more steps. :-(
I like the way Alexander presents himself and fights. I would match him up with Bisping next. Give Chuck a fight with Silva, give Shogun the title shot on Rampage, and give Houston that marginally good fighter from England. That wouuld be a decent next few months in the 205 division.

Bad intentions when the fight starts and a respectable attitude after, thats what fighters are supposed to be and Alexander is a very good prospect and Bisping/Forrest is a good fight next.
Havent yet seen ground game so still not sure where his career going but at least exciting to watch
he looks great so far, they should give him a real test next. there is alot of candidates out there.

Pretty much summed up in this thread, awesome power, very entertaining to watch and defines excitement in a fight.
I'd like to see how he'd do against a good grappler, if he copes well then it looks like he could defo challenge for the title.

If they can get him into a situation where they can grapple him before he knocks them out that is

Chill the fuck out sweet pea, nobodys fucking claiming he's world class, were just excited to see a fighter in the cage delivering what we want, EXC-FUCKING-CITEMENT.

I dont think hes world class or anything but like Mike Golberg said that dude is violent and he is just a fucking dog.
That quote about him being violent had me dying. Goldberg sounded shocked by the fact that he was violent when he exclaimed it.
But what's the deal with calling him a "fucking dog?" What the hell is that supposed to mean? The man goes into a fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championships and actually, well, fights and he's a "fucking dog" because of it. I figured that was the whole idea. In my eyes that just makes him a fuckin' fierce fighter.
I see this hype train getting de-railed very quickly. He has power but not much skill, and is fierce. He got rocked early by Jardine and Jardine's stupid stance led him to be KTFO'd by Alexander's power. He has power, good for him. Against any top notch fighter he will likely get soundly beaten, especially a ground fighter. He beats Alessio Sakara and everyone thinks he's the next big thing. Cool down people. He's no Sokoudjou.
You need to relax and re-read this:

So, SP, there is still plenty that is unknown about him in the octagon but I'll guarantee you this, it'll be goddam exciting whenever we find it out and that's what this express is all about. :good

 The guy has little skill, he just has a big punch and is intense. Let him fight a top notch fighter, not a pillow-fisted, china-chinned, no stamina punk like Alessio Sakara. Alexander has no star potential, he is no Sokoudjou, he just has a big punch.
Well, you might end up being correct. But, for now, I'm hyped about the guy since he's so damn exciting to watch. I'd love to see him achieve some serious success in the UFC.
Time will tell...

And Sokoudjou may not be what he is being cracked up to be.
Hell, he got KTFO by a VERRRy average fighter who got beat by Ed Herman.
the guy is a work in progress. He has two fantastic wins in his past two fights earlier this year against one great MMA fighter, and one very good mma fighter....both big KOs.
The guy has power for sure......but he still was KTFO by Glover Tiexiera, who is an average MMA fighter, one year ago. And he only has five MMA fights.
Too early to label him as the next big thang, with five fights and his actual record.
Frankly,...I think that Houston Alexander is a better overall prospect, and has proven more and shown less *****s in his armor....in the ring than Soko has.
That was then, this is now, things change. Andf he beat two top 5 LHW's, Alexander beat a bum and a decent fighter.
You consider Ricardo Arona to be a top 5 LHW fighter?? I don't. Opinions I guess.
I do and did give credit for Soko's win over the usually durable and very versatile NOG.
Between the two, I think that Alexander has the greater striking and better chin.

Shogun not in top 5 LHW? What grass you smoking?

I meant Ricardo Arona. Sorry.
When he fought Sokoudjou he was, maybe not now.
Waddaya mean "maybe not now'"? Hell, he never was a top 5 guy at that weight. Not now, not ever. When Ricardo Arona got starched by Soko,....he wasn't a top 5 LHW. That was less than six months ago.
