He just shuts down. He did this against Fedor, Gonzaga and now Kongo. When he doesn't shut down he is a monster but he just seems to shut off. He seemed to lose two rounds because he wasn't there to work. Bit of a Zab Judah me thinks.

Its deeper than that though, Cro cop had plenty of opportunities to nail Kongo in the side with his left leg. He was just gun shy after getting knocked out. It happens to all fighters.


I have no doubt that a cro cop of a year ago would taken out kongo easily. But cro cop is coming to the end of his career as the top. I dont think he will mentally recover.

He claims he broke a rib in the 1st round. not sure if I believe it or not. It is definitely possible, considering Kongos kickboxing ability. He just looked like he didnt want to be in there. like he was fighting to not get knocked out, instead of fighting to win. He did get kneed in the nuts quite a few times though. As Carmelo Marrero showed us, all you have to do to beat Kongo, is take him down. And thats what Cro Cop should have done if he didnt want a kickboxing match. If that is how he is going to perform, there is no point in continuing to fight.

Crocop and his camp, being professional as they are should have understood the styles in this fight, along with Kongo's height and reach on his feet......and his susceptability on the ground.

No fight plan for this fight against this guy. Disappointing.

A good ground fighter would have tied Kongo into a knot in less than two minutes. I say Kongo gets a shot at Couture, just so we can watch Randy pwn him.

the UFC has really done a bad job with cro cop. this was their most horrible PR for a fighter ever. ok, so he lost to gonzaga, fine ge got kicked in the face and lost. but did they really have to make him fight kongo next? a big black ripped dude who can fight will never be a push over. the ufc should have fed cro cop a few tomato cans to get his groove back and should have cashed in on cro cop challenging for the heavyweight title. of course he'll get his ass whooped by randy but at least the UFC'c invesment in cro cop led to a title fight that will sell ppvs. now cro cop is done. the money they out on him was not even worth it

Bob Sapp is done too, Peter Aerts knocked out Sapp in about 7 seconds. That was some funny shit. Sapp ran across the ring and got knocked out. I wish Aerts would fight MMA, he is a legend.
