It's amazing the lack of publicity Witter gets even on a British Boxing forum website.

This fight has completely failed to spark any interest.

This is the kind of fight Setanta would have shown.

Sky not taking up the boxing slack yet, it seems, although some are convinced they will. I'm not so sure.

Did Sky ever show fights of this kind of stature?

Anyway, I have a way to watch and I'm looking forward to it.

He's boring and nobody's seen his opponent, nothing to really talk about.

1) Setanta didn't even bother trying to bid for Froch vs Taylor

2) Sky showed Lacy vs Reid live and that was a lot worse than this.

3) Junior Witter simply doesn't create any interest to be honest and that is the only reason its not on as yet.

Setanta didn't bid because they were just about to fold.

I'm not sure Lee, Reid is a British fighter. When it came to both fighters being American/ Latin, Sky were always OK for the big fights but less so for likes of Bradley/ Campbell.

EDIT: comma added for clarity....;O)

He's boring and nobody's seen his opponent, nothing to really talk about.

Boring in the sense that he doesn't rush in like a two year old on e-numbers and get himself knocked the fuck out?

Its an absolute disgrace that we have one world champion in Froch who is about to take on the best in his division, and Witter who is prepared to travel to the lions den to regain a legit title, and neither of these fighters will be showcased on British TV...no wonder the sport is dying a death. The common denomiator with Froch and Witter is Mick Hennessy...the sooner they dump the worst promoter in British boxing the better

His opponent's supposed to be good I read on boxingsene.Alot of the Americans think he'll beat Witter. He's the number 2 ranked contender with the wbc , Witter 3rd , Pacquiao 1st.

Americans always think their fighter will win. I havent seen Alexander at all but his record isnt filled with masses of names ( and some of guys records he has fought are pretty rubbish in world terms and he was fighting them only a few fights ago) - Witters style is one that many have found awkward both to watch and fight against.
50/50 fight for me Witter looked awfully drained in an interview the otherday if Alexander is like Bradley and brings a pressue type fight he could well get the win but if he gets troubled by the switch hitting Junior should win it. Bradley and Campbell should be a great fight but its a shame they arent on TV have to watch them sunday or something

Americans always think their guy will beat an overseas opponent at anything. Alexander is at the very least unproven at world level, his best win is over an even worse Corley than the version Witter beat (and he was clearly past it then). He will be a decent prospect on the ledger if Witter wins, but he still needs Bradley if he's to be considered a legit champ.

Its not a real world title fight. A world class match up but how can they call themselves a champion at the conclusion, same goes for Khan. He's a belt holder not a World Champion.

Campbell Bradley might have a bit of an argument but in reality its the former world lightweight champion against the worlds top contender. Pacs the division number one.

Bookies have Alexander (8/13, Betfred) as favourite over Witter (13/8, Stan James).

In the other bout, Bradley (1/2, totesport) is favoured over Campbell (2/1, bet365).

Those are the best prices that I've quoted there. To me the Witter fight looks more 50-50 than the bookies suggest, but I wouldn't confidently predict the outcome of either match.

No fighter at 140 should be a champ. Fuck the entire division off and just have lightweight and then welter.

For some reason I think Witter will get stopped on Saturday.

I have seen him on the telly and he looks seriously drawn, and if he is sparring with a now obviously faded Thaxton it doesn't bode well, even though Alexander is largely unproven.

I hope I'm wrong.

Bradley vs Campbell is a 50-50 for me, I have a hunch for Campbell.
