Yeah, I'd be overjoyed to see this one. And don't worry about Scottish/not Scottish; it's appreciating a true craftsman with real dedication to the sport that makes someone a Simpson fan.

I want to see how he did it. I've only really seen Simpson v Morris and Matthews.
Please, if you are still offering.

Simpson was brilliant and was chuffed he won, but their was fuck all funny about the KO. I was worried for Morris, he looked in a real bad way.
Was relieved that Morris recovered ok and left the ring unaided.
Sustained a nasty cut beside his right eye and will be out for months apparently.
Congratulations again to Simpson -all his dedication paid off in the end
and hopefully he will now get the recognition and opportunities he deserves.

I've watched two rounds and it looks likes Simpson power has REALLY improved. He only punches when he is sure to land clean and when he punches he has fucking bad intentions on them.
The old Simpson was a touch passive and didn't put that sort of meat on his shots.
I think this time Simpson was not in awe of Morris tools, nor his speed. Simpson didn't wait this time. He threw more punches with mean intent.
Simpson showed SPITE! I want to see this Simpson v Derry.

just read that morris could be moving up to SFW but i dont think that would be a good idea i think he lacks the punching power and also according to this report he can make the weight safely if he trains properly and thats according to bob shannon.

Cheers Dunky, that was taken on Great Western Road, Glasgow; a couple of months before the demolition of Brodie. Scotty was a total gent.
Very sad to see the way it all ended, but here's hoping he can make a triumphant return when he's at peace with himself.

I dont think we will ever see Scotty back in a boxing ring again sadly enough, aye it is indeed sad how it all ended. However, life goes on as they say & its up to the next batch to prove they can be as good as Scotty was & Arthur is.

Think cuts are becoming as much of an issue for Morris as making the weight.
His last fight with Simpson was stopped on a bad cut which kept him out of the ring for some time and now he has been cut badly again. Just seems he is one of those fighters who is prone to them.

Do you partially blame Joan Guzman for Harrison's downfall -questionmark- I have been wondering if that is what you have against the man.

yeah he does seem to have a problem with cuts but the weight is def the major factor for him even when he fought thorpe in july he was fighting at 9st 8' if he could make the weight he should have been down at least a little bit more than than that to get him the proper preparation for the fight as bob shannon said in the interview.
also when he turned up for the weigh-in on thur i got a call (as i have inside info from a close sourse to john!! haha!!) that morris turned up looking like he had just been dug up from his grave he was so pale looking and told to get as much money on john as i could and others musy have noticed cause his odds were slashed from 6-1 right into 5-2 when the fight started.

Whenever Morris has a fight coming up there are rumours about his weight although it seems from what his trainer has said that he is not moving up to super featherweight. Haven't read anything from Morris himself since the fight although he did have plenty to say beforehand - probably regretting that now given the manner of his defeat.
Never been a fan of weigh-ins the day before a fight - where it is really tight there should be another on the actual day! As for the odds, I think Morris was odds on favourite at some point (ridiculous). Hope you took your 'insiders' advice and did well out of it - only next time you have info of this quality please let me know so I can get down the bookies as well!

So its YOU now instead of Dunky? "Hey YOU"
Just kidding Rupert. Now to answer your question, no I dont blame Guzman for Scottys downfall. Guzman in my eyes is just a humourless overrated asshole who claims greatness, despite an unremarkable record. Listen, I studied the cunt like I studied all fighters in the featherweight division when Scotty was fighting.
& what I uncovered made me dislike him. Hes living a boxing lie, his big mouth has made people think hes an elite fighter when one look at that record of his tells you he aint. But a big mouth can get you bigger credit than you deserve, & thats what Guzman has done. I want to see Alex Arthur beat him. NOW.
& Alex will, if Guzman has the balls to fight him, which I doubt very much.

Surely even Dunky was impressed, perhaps even in awe of Joan's championship winning performance over Barrios -questionmark-

yeah i had already got in early and got 5-1 it6 said on the commentary that morris was 1-6 by the looks of it they got the odds round the wrong way john should have been 1-6 on!!! oh well im not complaining im a few hundred up anyway!!
im sure next time when i give my prediction on how johns looking and how he will fare more people will sit up and take notice not anything against you elle as you are pretty new to the forum but alot of people just basically laughed off my suggestions that john would stop morris but people forget i get to watch john in the gym and see how hard he was punching they dont!

Don't understand how Morris struggles at the weight he's tiny. Certainly not particuarly thick set or anything like that.

Morris looks much bigger than Simpson. Part of the reason Morris appears stronger and harder hitting. However when Simpson fought with venom, he looked the stronger and more powerful fighter.

Although the outcome of this fight surprised some people, I wasn't one of them - you may recall I was rooting for Simpson before the fight.
The fact he put on such an impressive display and beat Morris so convincingly any doubters must be won over now and less likely to underestimate him in the future.
I just think it so good for boxing when fighters like Simpson do well as he has had to do it the hard way and thats what I admire the most.
