after team klitschko cancelled the fight insiderinformation are thrown in the mix. mcclines trainer said klitschko got beaten up in sparring and was not in the best shape. he was more stiff than in his previous fights and was easy to hit. i dont know whether these are just rumours but vitali being injured again is a simple fact. i dont believe he will become champion again.

How in the hell would they know? Vitali is in Germany and McCline is in the States. The same things were being said before the Williams fight, look what happened. It is a bunch of BS.

I don't wish the big guy any ill, but it seems his body can no longer take the punishment of training for professional boxing.Old Vit hasn't completed a training camp for three years now, so it may be time to let it go.

Sucks. Vitali would have been fun to see again. IMO at least he knows better than to fight world class heavies at less than 100%.

I wouldn't doubt it. He's a huge man who's been inactive for years. Add that to the fact that he's what...35 years old? Not to mention that he was dependent on his reflexes to get out of the way of punches (I am sure that his reflexes have suffered big time) all of that is a recipe for disaster if you want to fight at the top level as a heavyweight.:good This actually makes perfect sence !

Rumours have it that McCline was getting beaten up in sparring. He then called Klitschko and asked him to fake an injury to cancel the fight so that McCline wouldn't lose face. Team Klitshcko initially said no, but after being blackmailed by pics of Vitali and Wlad getting it on, they had no choice but to agree.
Thats what I've heard

If the opponents trainer said so, it must be true, then.

its rumoured that vitali made the mistake of sparring Ruiz in preparation for this fight.

Does it really matter whether or not he got beat up in sparring? Vitali is done. Honestly, he shouldn't attempt any more comebacks. Little brother Wlad was startting to get some real shine and here comes big brother selfishly coming back to steal his little brother's thunder. Let it go Vitali, it's over for you. You had a nice little run beating up the likes of Corrie Sanders, Kirk Johnson and Danny Williams. Hell, you even gave Lennox a good fight. Those days are over, keep your old ass in retirement.

I heard Brewster and Jeremy Williams both blasted him out in sparring.

I heard James Toney tested positive for Steroids twice and got beat by Rahman but was gifted a decision. Just what I heard.

Yessir. Pretty much. Of course if this were the old days Vitali would have already gone out on his shield.
...And possibly suffered brain damage and permanent injuries in the process. Bowing out gracefully from career ending injuries is surely the better option. It produces fewer "great" fights, but you don't have to see your former champions punch-drunk like poor Holyfield.

This is complete bullshit. :-( I know one of his sparring partners. :deal
Well not personally but he comes on one of the boxing websites I visit. :D
Huge picture of Klitschko with Cadieux.
