Despicable Resto vs Collins bout now a documentary.

A documentary has been put together depicting the tragic circumstances surrounding the Luis Resto vs Billy Collins Jnr bout where Resto's corner doctored his gloves resulting in the blinding and subsequent death of Collins, in the 80's.

Resto's trainer Panama Lewis (pictured bottom right), the guy responsible for the glove modifications, must be one piece of work!

Makes you wonder what sort of damage Margarito might have done to Mosely recently if his modified gloves had gone undetected??

Interesting in the Resto vs Collins video that when Collins Snr grabs Resto's right glove and finds the padding missing, Resto shakes the left one.

Not sure if he's making a gesture of how much his hands hurt - which they would have - having pounded Collins head with very limited padding for 10 rounds?

Those eyes of Billy Collins clearly demonstrate why boxing gloves are meant to be padded...take note Team Margarito!
