Cintron is pretty good - and with Manny in his corner - he's only going to get better. I would take him in a rematch against Margarito - but not Clottey.

Clottey has good speed and good foot-work. He might not be the hardest puncher - but he'll hit Cintron enough to win the fight. He takes a pretty good shot too. He was whooping Margarito ass last Dec. - until he hurt his hand - and this was when Margarito was thought of as the most ducked fighter out there.

This may very well happen and it will be hype. Clottey needs this type of breakthrough, he will be hungry.

What did Clottey ever do except put up an okay performance against the B- level fighter Margarito? I'm not gonna even mention the Corrales fight, because it isn't significant at all. Just because Cintron had a breakdown in the Margarito fight and got stopped doesn't mean he will fold under pressure against Clottey. He has also improved since then, both mentally and skills-wise. I hope this fight happens just so that saying Clottey is a top 147 pounder won't be accepted anymore.

Yup. Clottey is a strong grinder type, but Cintron is deadly and brings by far the more talent.

Tough fight for both men. Clottey has a good chin and a very tight defense but I think Cintron can break through that defense with that massive right hand he's got.

There are alot of guys who I'd pick Cintron to beat at welter, even after losing to Margarito.

Clottey isn't one of them. A rangy power puncher always has trouble with a smaller man with fast hands and excellent defense.

And even though Cintron looked fantatic against Matthyesse, remember that he was not in with an even good opponent. He still appeared hittable at times, and not completely tight. Those are vunerabilities someone like Clottey will capitalize on.

Of course, Estrada did too but Cintron pulled that one out. He could very likely win this one on heart too. But my pick remains. Clottey UD.
