To make thing a little interresting in the MW division. Like he sub him in 2 minutes easily. It would be a cool buildup for him vs Silva.

If Maia lose to Marquardt, then, make Anderson's last fight at MW vs Hendo and put him at 205 officialy.

Maia can do that, hes the wildcard in the UFC..He can shake things up either with Anderson or GSP.

What I really want to see is Maia vs. GSP. After last night Silvas a huge MW and a big LHW. He shouldnt be fighting at that weightclass.

Yeah I agree with you. I heard Maia is working with Wanderlei and Shogun for his striking, that's a nice thing to do.

Its a pity hes not working with the best (Blackhouse) but theres a rivalry building here and its about to come head on.

The one thing I worry about for Maia is his lack of strength and explosiveness. If you remember in his fight with McDonald, McDonald seemed too strong for Maia to be effective. Maia needed to wear McDonald down, the first round, before he was sure to be competitive in a scoring sense.

Maia is great on the ground, and is a threat against anyone as long as the fight lasts. As Maia steps up in class, it may become very difficult for him to win a decision over the course of 3 rounds. Maia may need 5 rounds against some opponents, and the only fights scheduled for 5 are title fights.

Maia can sub anybody in the world.

Slightly worried about him in this fight though, Marquardt is good on the ground, and showed some powerful striking last fight.

As good as Marquardt is on the ground, all Maia needs is one chance against almost everybody, and Marquardt doesn't quite make the list of guys who he needs more than one good chance.

This has all the makings for a classic fight i think. I hope Maia takes it for some reason i think he will take it in Big Nog style taking a beating on the ground then Subs him when he makes the slightest mistake.
