View Full Version : This is how I see Machida vs Silva

I think people will expect this fight to be competitive, I actually don't think it will be at all. Silva is made for Machida. Silva loves to stand up and stalk his opponent, and Machida loves when a fighter chases him.

I see Machida winning the early rounds with his kicks and constant running in circles. And then Silva knowing he is about to lose the fight will be more aggressive and take some risk, that's when Machida capitalize on Silva's mistake and explode with a huge counter and knock down Silva and finish him off with a TKO.

Easy win for Machida. That's how I see the fight.

Machida's too conventional with his counter striking game. He's incredeible at it, but Anderson's speed, slickness, explosiveness and unpredictability are even higher

I see him getting in by a very quick surprising attack and exploding on the Brazillian Ryu

Hope i'm wrong though as i love Ryu

I see silva just attack him, and KHTFO! Seriously, Machida is just an evasive counter puncher. Can't counter someone who is quicker than you. If I were Silva...JUMP ON HIM, and finish him off! We know Machida is a great counter...Let's see if he's ready for war!

Well, if they fight, I will bet anyone with a 1 month off bet. I'm that confident.

If Silva just jump on him, hahaha That fight will end with Machida KO1 Silva. Don't even mess with Machida, he can unload if necessary.

It wasn't directed at you in particular, it could be anyone. Not much risk for me since I believe Machida will beat him easily so I will bet anyone 1 month off that Machida would beat Silva. :good

i would take that bet in a second. it would be an awesome fight, but i guarantee silva would take it. machida's a beast and i really don't see anyone else beating him, but silva would.

too bad that fight won't happen.

ever seen anyone even knock down silva? the guy has a granite chin. the only hope machida would have would be to submit anderson (which would NEVER happen) or somehow avoid everything in silva's arsenal and try to win on points.

Machida is not conventional in his striking. His use of distance is what differentiates him from almost all others fighting on the top right now. In Shotokan, as opposed to western boxing or muay thai you use a longer distance and wider stance, which coped with excellnt timing is hard to fight againt, or anticipate...

I know hes not conventional in the usual MMA sense, but his whole conventional karate stance is no where near as flexible and unpredictable as Andersons lucid style

Lyoto actually looks pretty rigid and conventional when compared with the total fluidity of Anderson

Two days ago I would have favored Machida, the guy is freakishly strong but after Silvas performance, these two are really inseparable in terms of skills.

Funny Machida have said that JDS kicks his butt in sparring.

They should never fight each other, if possible. :bart

Rule their respective divisions until retirement.

Ok, maybe they can fight each other in their farewell match.
