Just noticed in the european forum...
The 2009 AIBA World Boxing Championship will be held in the Milan, Italy from August 29, 2009 to September 13, 2009.
Anyone know who's in the Aus team or any other info??

There was a fair bit of talk about that a while back..but I havent really been following it to be honest.
It would make sense with all the others from that class turning pro recently.

only thing that rings a bell about the team is i have this thought that i recall reading somewhere that Damian Hooper was knocked out at the Aus championships last year by another AIS boxer

Was looking through the selection trials for the world champs Coulda and Pitty was in them but lost in the final to Niemann.
Seems like a good motivation to turn pro.

I think he is the reigning champ..but Damien won the trials for the world champs..I know that for sure.

Just noticed Brad Pitt will be making his pro debut against Kiwi cruiser Shaun Salisbury in Melbourne 25th Sept.
