Just wanted to post this here since ive been training in Kyokushin from my teens, and this is a training forum. Kyokushin does not allow for face punching, which is its biggest weakness, however, im posting this to show that toughness it mostly a mental thing, regardless of the technique here. So before your fights, train mentally to ignore pain!
My martial arts teacher was fighting when he was young to get his black belt in Kyokushin, as part of the test you have to fight between 15 or 20 2-minute rounds, and each time they bring a fresh guy to beat on you. The purpose is to survive. The gloves that these guys are wearing are very thin, so the punches to the body are felt very much, and during the test there are no weight classes. Scroll over to about 2:00 mintes into the video, my teacher is the guy wearing head protection.
