Allegedly WEC is building this division into their brand (giving it 4 to UFC's 5...with lightweight overlapping - hopefully they just split it down the middle four apiece and assimilate all LW's into WEC), to be showcased starting in early 2010.

Has anybody followed any of the 125 lb combatants in Shooto or anywhere else? Any vids or insights as to who might emerge as top talents that WEC could sign and improve their franchise by promoting ?

It's a fun division to watch, haven't really kept track too much of it.

Shooto has finally gotten rid of their stupid fucking 8 count for knockdowns, so that makes it much better to watch.

For a moment I thought you were trying to screw with me and the frame rate of Kojima-Yamaguchi had been sped up; then I realized the ref was moving normally in real time around them. :yep

...and I thought the bantams were fast and furious. This is going to rule if they can attract some good talent (and I don't see why they wouldn't, as they have the American exposure market cornered).

This kid BJ is nasty. That piggyback standing rear mount - I've never seen anything like that. :ibutt

More signs of boxing troubles developing :-)

The divisions, the cross promotions, people wanting bigger purses... Beware!
