Pavlik’s promoters have reached a preliminary agreement for the middleweight champion to fight Paul “The Punisher” Williams on Oct. 3 in Atlantic City according to a source familiar with the situation.

Now that this fight looks made what's the chance Mundine tries to trump Green by announcing just before the Green fight that he will fight Manfredo or Wright on the Pavlik undercard?

Imo Pavlik loses to the next elite level boxer he faces so i think Williams will beat him on points. Imo Pavlik is overrated and overhyped by a lot of people. Yes he did beat jermain Taylor twice but in the first fight Pavlik was as close to KTFO as you could possibly be, although i give him credit for recovering and then stopping Taylor, and their second fight was actually quite close on points imo with Pavlik probably the winner.

One can only hope :DMundine v winky wow, I LOVE TO SEE IT, I just can't see it happening, image Nassar going in and leting Arum and HBO his demands for mundine services , We needs this and that for Mundine all Aussie TV rights and million from you guys 30 rooms at trump hotel in alantic city, all porky products and jews banded for whole time we are there and that means you to Mr Arum, Lets join the real world, MUndine will be fight on foxtel PPV against a guy who will nowhere near a PAvlik, williams or winky. I like MUndine but this will not be happening

Maybe technically Jermain Taylor is a better boxer than Paul Williams but he has stamina/mental issues which is why he lost to limited boxers like Pavlik and Froch. They both beat Taylor and i'm sure you'll agree that they are not anywhere near as skillfull as Taylor.

Interesting fight. Williams looked good against Winky. But terrible 2 fights before when he lost to a very light puncher. I think Williams will win the first 4 rounds before being mowed down by the human chainsaw which is Pavlik. Pavlik with a TKO or huge KO around the 7th.

Im hoping Mundine fights on this card. And against a decent foe. Like you Ashley i do think it could, considering how green announced his fight the morning of the shannan taylor bout. Could be a bit of pay back.

P.S Mundine will get stronger the longer he spends at 160. And he should be to much for Winky. And way to much for Manfredo.

I lean towards Williams out boxing Pavlik over 12 rds. Williams made an old but crafty fighter like winky look fairly ordinary. Hopkins at 43 showed how easy it is to out work Pavlik. Pavlik to me is nothign more than 1-2 man with a big punch. He's going to need more than that to beat Williams.
