i think one he injured his arm/shoulder. think it was the duran fight. he admits himself that he was reckless early on in his career and said those defeats did him the world of good

So duran didnt catch him with a big punch on the ropes and knock him out, he a injury?

i think he was still ko'd, but the injury was a factor. reports of the fight say it was his leg he injured early on.

Duran stopped him owing to a hip injury. The Dixon not Dann loss was because he ran out of steam citing dietry issues. He floored Dixon before been stopped after running out of gas. Dixon was an under-rated puncher. No banger but used to trouble decent fighters when he landed.

So it wasnt punches that did it against duran it was his hip? so duran didnt knock him out on the ropes?

His chin is decent but he can be hurt by decent but not great punchers. Jones nearly had him a out a couple of times.
Moore is one of my favourite fighters though and is never in a dull fight. I hope he gets his big shot soon.

Nothing wrong with a few early losses.

He seems to have a good chin and enough about him to carry him to a world title crack.

I remember watching the Duran fight and if my memory serves me right his hip went very early and he could barely defend himself!! Don't get me wrong he wasn't winning or anything BUT you could clearly see it was his hip!!
Moore has no quit in him, He was on the floor twice against Mick Jones yet still carried on and ended up stopping Mike and leaving him with a badly broken nose and messed up face..
Then the fight against Maklin he showed he could take sevre punishment and Maklin really can punch! He took everything he had and left him asleep on the canvas!!
While on Scott Dixon, I watched him fight Maklin when he was a bit past it on the Skelton Vs Sprott bill if my memory is right? He gave Maklin a hell of a fight and hurt him in the 5th I think it was then completly gassed out and was pulled out I think. Dixon was a very tough fighter and a decent puncher and always gave people a very good fight..;)

There is a few top guys to be honest mate, Am's you won't now and some you would, I would say the best is David Haye though, Great power, speed and reflexes, He's a superb fighter he really is, I gave just as good as I got BUT I've never been hit like he hit me that day if Im being totally honest..
Garcia spar was good, He was supposed to come back on the Thursday but didn't make it!! It was a good hard spar too!! He is very skilfull BUT I think he likes it his own way if Im being honest and he didn't get all his ow way with me, DeGale is also a very talented kid too, As is Paul Smith when he turns it on..Paul Smith is very underated and I think people will see the best of him come the Quigley fight;)

He was more a fully fledged light heavyweight when I sparred him pal..;)
It was a good spar, He didn't know me and thought he was gonna flatten me, He was sorely mistaken..;)
Garcia didn't like it when the Dazzler hit back or so the story goes from a few well connected Irish fellas on here.

Just to confirm again, the Duran fight was a hip injury. While watching it you would clearly think he is injured and couldn't fight properly.

Do you and paul ever spar tony? i have heard smigger is world class in the gym, but doesnt bring his form to the ringHow can you bring form to the ring when your fighting Svalen Tsyuclivacan a czech cleaner with a 34-18 record? No wonder he's bored as fuck. Hope you do well Tony you seem to have the right attitude. What do you thnk of the way ******s matched you so far and how much of a say do you and anthony get in who you fight?
I'm not at all fond of ******s matchmaking, I feel too many fighters like Foster jnr, Mathews, Mitchell, Hall, Smith have the potential to be big regional stars and ******s obsession with building records on boring undercards robs fighters of their identity in a way.

I feel for Paul cos the Contender should have been his springboard for massive things BUT he was just a bit unlucky!!:-(
As for the matchmaking mate, I just think Frank wants the lads to get a good education as most turn pro to early I feel.. As for me personally I've boxed some decent people and 2 unbeaten kids too. Well 1 was unbeaten and the other was 5-1 but the loss was on a cut in a fight he was winning so I classed him as unbeaten.;)
I'll be stepped up soon I feel an now Im fighting 8 rounders you'll really see the best of me hopefully, I've been asking for longer fights and Frank has delivered as he always has for me since day 1.. I just can't wait for September to get back into the ring..:good
Hopefully you'll all see the best of me too..;)

I think Frank will always deliver for the fighter at the level you are now operating at. He can get the money to get pretty much anyone you want domestically.
What I wonder is what he can do beyond that? What does he want for you?
Career wise what would be your ideal career path?
Few learning fights, up to British title level then Comm and Euro before world or would you be happy with the Gavin Rees route? Do you want a legacy? Do you value domestic titles?
Cheers Tony. :good
