What a joke.
He may be an official champ after that fight.....but in all my years of watching boxing that is arguably the worst fight I have ever seen.
Resembled a marathon. Lost all credibility in my opinion.
So he can pull it from wherever he wants to
exactly. Drews may as well have mailed him the belt...

Drews was terrible...but if you have put yourself through watching him fight before..Thats how he rolls.
He wins on negativity..Just jab and hold and keep the hell away from his opponant..Some Euro posters on here liken him to an Octopus.
Danny did some subtle things I never really notice him do before...He stayed just outside of range, then shuffled in surprsingly quickly behind his jab and was catching Stipe with good shots. Then he was out of punching range again.
Once Drews felt it, he was done..Exactly what happened in the Briggs fight..He got nearly knocked out and did everything he could just to survive the rounds.
Some people called that a dubious fight..It sort of looked like it but knowing how Drews fights and having a look at what Danny was doing right in that bout, not that much of a surprise he did it so easily.

LOL at Danny. His interim belt was BS as he said himself you can shove it up your arse, then his WBA 175 belt meant so much that he gave it away without a fight with a BS excuse. Well said Danny.

No disrespect to Danny, but if he considers himself up there with Fenech in winning world titles in three weight divisions he must surely put Lester Ellis on a massive pedastal as he managed to win a world title in five weight divisions.
Laughable I know, but if he considers todays title as legitimate he's gotta aknowledge Lesters three with the IBO along with one each with the IBF and the WBF.
Kinda makes you wanna shake your head don't it?

Kinda makes you wanna shake your head don't it?But some of the IBO world champs are quality fighters now.
Heavy: Wlad Klitschko
Cruiser: Danny Green
175: Chad Dawson
168: Sakio Bika
160: Anthony Mundine
147: Lovemore NDou
140: Manny Pacquiao
130: Zolani Marali
118: Simpiwe Vetyeka
They have had Champs like MAB, Juan Diaz, Ricky Hatton, Antonio Tarver, Rafael Marquez, Vic Darchinyan.
IBO has a unique and sort of Boxrec way of doing there rankings.
Not like some other belts were it is all politics.

Congrats to Danny Green and good luck against Roy Jones. But there's certainly not much history attached to any of the titles Danny's won:
WBC super middle: Interim title win against Lucas.
WBA light heavy: Branko won the interim title. Drews took it from Branko and then dropped his pants in handing it to Green.
IBO cruiser: Brand new title, won by a light heavy in Green in arguably a 'convenience' match-up to entice Roy Jones onboard and give the new title some big name title cred.
Though their career record numbers and the number of titles they've won are almost mirror images of each other, comparisons between Green and Fenech are not realistic IMO.
