Hopkins had a lot of amateur fights as a kid, before he got locked up.

Hasim had some good skills, especially considering his late start. He's under rated as a boxer and over rated as a puncher in my opinion.

Tim Witherspoon and Pinklon Thomas both had very few amateur fights.

Ken Norton started fighting very late, in 1963, when he was 20, and became a professional at 24, in 1967

Between 1963 and 1967 fought 26 times as an amateur, with a 24-2 record

Ok, if people are including people who fought as many as 25 fights then throw in George Foreman who won the Oympics with 26 !

That's quite a lot of fights though.
