:happy Been saying it for nearly 2 years now this guy is one of the elite fighters in the world. When everyone would talk oh yeah Cung Le could give Anderson Silva trouble at Middleweight im in there saying bullshit the man out there is Gegard Mousasi and id stand by that if they ever fought. What doesnt this guy have right now ? Hes got great hands and Thai Boxing and one of the most impressive all around ground games you will ever see im talking great submissions from all angle and GNP that will kill you from his back or on top. All this Silva vs Machida talk is pointless they wont ever fight, lets get Mousasi in the UFC to face either one or fuck both of him would be better.

Blew me away with that performance. I thought Sobral would give him a good scrap, maybe even pull the upset. Boy was I wrong.
great win....very impressive.

As would I but Jacare has some potential decent looking fights in Strikeforces 185 divison with maybe Matt Lindland,Jake Shields,Frank Shamrock ETC. Not sure who Mousasi is supposed to fight in Strikeforce/Dream after he no doubt trashes Sokoudjou.

Mousasi is awesome no doubt...
He should be fighting in the ufc imo , but i guess since he's fedor's sparring partner (and has a contract with M1... ) ...it's not gonna happen anytime soon

Just watched the fight. Wow.
Impressive. Very calm, relaxed of the start. Great GNP technique. BIG props to stop punches once Babalu was clearly out.

Mousasi was outstanding, again, he impresses me in every fight, he just keeps on getting better and better.
Babalu's no joke and Mousasi just walked through him with ease.
I really expected this fight to be alot more competitive, just a brilliant performance.

I fully agree and i think mousasi is a good fight for anyone at 185/205.

Explosive and devastating. With Fedor and Mousasi, maybe Strikeforce could create a rivalry to UFC. Don't they also have Rogers, Arlovski and one or two others. Interesting. Even if guys like Arlovski aren't champ material, they create depth.

Mousasi was outstanding, again, he impresses me in every fight, he just keeps on getting better and better. I also said the same a whiile back, everytime you see him he gets better. After the super hulk tourny the only other realistic fight I can think of is vs Lil Nog.

Mousasi really helps Strikeforce become something. His win was impressive but he also has good looking wins over Manhoef and Hunt.

Absolutely, even if he doesn't prove to be something great, right now he has mystique of potential greatness about him. Clearly became a great asset to Strikeforce.

They should really hype him for the simple reason that they could make people believe that they have the best heavyweight and light heavyweight in the world. They should definitely try and get Cung Le back in the mix because then they could at least claim they have the best middleweight in the world too.
Even if people don't think Mousasi and Le are the best, they'd certainly think they are very good and the number 1s to Silva and Machida.
Would the right moves I think Strikeforce could pose a serious threat to the UFC. It won't be easy though.

Its a shame but hopefully in the meantime Dream and Strikeforce can provide quality matchups. The Superhulk tournament is there in October im 99.9 percent sure he defeats Sokoudjou and Choi-Minowa winner but what after that ? Lil Nog would be a great fight since hes got a top level ground game and strong boxing skills he may match up well. Plus hes highly ranked coming off 5 straight wins and of course past wins over Matyushenko,Overeem and Henderson. Thats the only real quality opponet out there for him at 205 so hopefully it gets done.

As good as Mousasi is on the ground, he was getting outclassed by Jacare up until that brutal up kick. I really want to see that rematch.

Please, Jacare is not on a level with Mousasi in MMA....
Mousasi wins at least 9/10.

I know Mousasi isnt on Jacares level as far as the ground game (who is ?) but it was hardly a outclassing. Jacare got an impressive takedown and was in Mousasis half guard (neutral postion)for about a minute, stood up threw a couple punches and Mousasi got back to open guard standing threw a upkick that landed before a Jacare right hand and laid him out.

Any guy that can keep a win via TKO from a triangle when he is getting power bombed is a good fighter.

I noticed this too. Big John obviously didnt. Babulu's eyes were spinning in his head and big John thought it was UFC 2.

Yeah I noticed that to I think Johns head aint right cause hes usually pretty good at stoppages. Big John is slipping I dont mind that Josh Rosenthal guy who did the main event for Strikeforce and alot of WEC shows.
