Continuing with our relentless quest to be Johnny-on-the-spot, I've been promised immediate texts with results of all the fights tonight. Thats if our ESB "men" on the scene Phil Austin & Flamengo can make it past security (which is not a given, with the detailed description I sent about them).

Stay tuned.

Flamengo last seen standing outside wearing a pink carnation and holding a sign saying "Get it here".

I submit Phil only knows this as he was first in line.

Unless Sol has a change of heart I cant see any reason not to go ahead.
****** Whitehead seems to have quite a bright future after this win

He spent a long time in the Amature league.....thinking maybe to long and wouldn't ajust well to the pro ranks....be great to see some footage of this.

Sam Soliman KO 5(?)(5-ish according to Flamengo) Sintung Kietbusaba

DaSweetScience

It was one of the best heavyweight scraps I've seen in a while. Solomon landing big bombs, Whitehead firing out a pistol jab to consolidate. Whitehead was on the edge of being stopped a couple of times but stuck to his plan and continued to bank rounds. A well matched classic.

LeonMcS
08-16-2009, 09:56 AM
From Phil;

Sam KO7 Kietbusaba. Thai down in the 4th and twice in the 7th.

Flamengos mind must have been on the rendezvous with Phil afterwards.

Phil Austin

Whitehead has a great left jab and that is really all, was on the verge of getting stopped a couple of times but showed great resilience - would type more but Bob Mirovic is sitting right behind me and that worries mw!

He is getting busy with fights, can you see improvement, adding to his arsenal with a greater range of shots or combo's.

flame - you wouldn't know style if it smacked you right in the schnozzer my good yet simple friend! :p
TBH on J ustin, I don't see massive things out there for him, Bobby would stop him as would Alex and and the Iron Rhino. I think Sol still deserves the fight with Michael; it was a close run thing aand a very, very good fight.

it was a pleasure to meet dss - a real gent as it was Flame - even if he does dress like an extra out of welcome back kotter!

.......no risk of style smacking me on the schnozzer when Im standing beside you, my favourite Howard Leigh impersonator...:D

That fight was a great test of fortitude, yet it lacked an array of skill. Styles make fights, and this bout proved a tenacious battle. Both guys went to the well on more than one occassion. Full credit to them for the bout.

....I didnt veiw the entire fight, as my attention was concentrated on the 3 card girls at ringside looking at Phil and giggling amongst themselves... I kept hearing the same word spoken from each of them.. "Small Cock".
