Garcia was a tough dangerous boxer when infact was near 40yr fighting well out of division lol
van dikerk a tough rugged and dangerous fighter who comes to fight lol more like comes for a pay day!
And the Argie yesterday even after the fight made out like he was one of the most dangerous boxer to ever lace up a glove lol
i think green honestly does think he is better than he really is!

Green's 3 titles certainly aren't the most impressive hat-trick of titles won in boxing history. But in today's climate of alphabet titles, b/s titles etc they are still titles none-the-less.
I don't know of a single fighter who doesn't think they are a chance against absolutely anyone else in the ring, and as a consequence you they 'think they better than they really are'...goes with the territory of being a fighter.

wtf do u expect?
it's his livelyhood.
more hype, more exposure = more $income.
hes hardly going to downplay the situation, boxers or moreso sportspeople only have a limited time to capitalise on their sporting career.
just enjoy it for what it is. at least he comes to the ring wanting to look impressive and put on a good show. thats all viewers can expect for their buck.

the fact is whether you like to believe it or not is except for the stipe drews fight with the man owning the title at the time green made sure he didnt spend all that money he makes fighting in perth on an aponant that 1) is gonna test him or i2)ncrease his reputation.
you name one fighter that was given at least a 50/50 chance of beating him since the mundine fight 2006 ? alls his done is cashed in by hyping up weak apnonants to be something theyre not!
you Inbruwoman are just naive!

lol kronk,
you make it sound like danny green owes it to u to fight certain people.
seems u have an agenda in trying to expose him. his record is clear for everyone to see and i don't remember green coming out with outlandish statements that he is the greatest boxer in history.
feel free to continue being an anti though.

I don't know what the fuck you are trying to say in the dribble I've quoted but I suggest you shut the fuck up, because every time you post you look even dumber than previously.
Green is a good fighter at best and has seen how well mundine milks the cow with bums,so he is giving it a fair go..tthat is until he becomes dehydrated again,in which case he will invent another division to move to and become another world champ.
He milks the media well and the not so experienced in boxing would think he should fight mike tyson nxt week for the heavy weight championship of the world and win easily.

Overall Green = Mundine = both BS artists.
Both have been decent fighters on the world stage but nothing more. Neither guy is anywhere near what is generally deemed elite = about P4P top 20. And both of their talk of being 3 times world champ in 2/3 weight divisions is just nonsense if you understand boxing. Green won his IBO "world title" against a journeyman basically and neither of them should have fought for the title because if the IBO had integrity then they surely couldn't have deemed Green and Dominguez ranked high enough to contest a vacant title. Absolute nonsense and both Green and Mundine know it. Reminds me of the utter BS Ricky Hatton was saying in the lead up to the Pacman fight that he was fighting for the P4P title.

Although it's hard to agree what kronk is saying, the aussie public don't want to hear him talk of c + b level opponents. Imagine a professional fighter talking about his next b level opponent.
He's a respected public figure and paid by many a niave cunt to be a warrior.

I think like or hate Mundine he has given Australian boxing a lift look at Green he would still be doing his best on the Australian seen but with the build up of Mundine Green he is a household name and making $ ! Good on him and the better people think he is the more people follow boxing .The Winner is Boxing that all you guys love .Regards

Not so sure mate.
The best way to improve a sport profile is to get your competitors in the overseas market competing at the top level.
This is a given knowing that the big money and the big prizes are fought on other continents in boxing.
This drives the local guys to set thier goals higher knowng there are bigger opportunities outside of Australia.
Although Mundine has brought a local audience to boxing he hasn't driven it to the rest of the world.
This in my opinion stifles development and the sports profile.
Most of us on here realise that Mundine is not doing local boxing any favours by promoting himself and putting on woeful cards.
Most young boxers hopefully know this and look at the Katsidis's, Bika's and the Vics of aussie boxing to get thier motivation.
I'm a sucker for boxing and dont need much of an excuse to watch it, so for that reason Mundine has peddled opportunitiesd to watch.
But quantity never outwieghs qaulity, especially in boxing where blokes pitted against one another cant hide when skill difference is blatantly obvious.

Partially agree with both of you (Joe & Boxon).
IMO it's undeniable that Mundine & Green have been good for the promotion and exposure of boxing in Australia!
But it could equally be argued that they could have done more, both here and abroad. Particularly Mundine, who possesses an ample amount of virtually untested ability.
