This guys really knows how to speal a load of shite..... He came out with some right pearlers last night but my personal favourite was when he was talking about the relationship between Billy Graham and Hatton saying that both were nothing before they had each other.....

I think the original phoenix members like Carl Thompson, Ensley Bingham, Mike Holdan, Paul Burke and Peter Judson might be a little dissapoitned with that one as will Hattons amateur trainers who guided him to a multitude of titles.

There was other stuff he said during the fight that made me think 'does this guy really know what he's talking about?' I usually like his articles but he was pointless input wisew last night.

I don't think the guy knows much about the sport as a improviser.... its one thing having the tools to research but another to be able to make an on the spot judgement.

Graham has had a host of champs at different levels. Hatton is his first real star though. He is a good coach. Hatton is also the first guy to have real solid talent.

The only sold point Bunce made was during the Zuniga fight, about judges scoring rounds against a cruising fighter, when they really shouldn't.

That's nice but would Ricky be considered one of the best trainers in the world without Billys teachings and principles? I don't think so.

The bar, what time to run and the body belt are all from Billy. Hatton gets a serious blow if he suddenly lost out on the quality rounds he does with Billy on the belt.

Plus Graham is a sharp boxing mind who is invaluable in the corner.

To be honest i didn't like him at first.... But I was very wrong- and not for the first time. I think he's a good fella and he is having a positive impact on the sport. I think Steve has probably seen a few of these in the past because I was quite openly criticle of him and his presenting style I may have even called him a cunt.... but while initially I found him a bit on top I did give him credit for the stuff he wrote which i've always enjoyed.

Bunce's presenting has massively improved and the good he has done for the sport of late has been really impressive.

I was wrong- Bunce isn't a cunt. I'm no ass kisser but he is about the best pioneer of UK boxing right now. Without him at Setanta we'd be in a worse situation then we are now.

I think the guy is an absolute legend.
And this is why.
The man has his own opinion just like you or i and is not swayed by influence. Yes he gets it wrong but so do we.
He doesent seem to care about upseting people with his views which gives him his apeal and makes him watchable.
The Hopkins interview is one of my all time greatest telly viewing experiances.
I dont think i have ever wanted a journalist to lay one on someone as much in my life, i was shouting at the tv grow a pair buncey and lump him. (easy for me to say i know).

If you have not seen the Hopkins interview then i sugest you go on youtube and watch it.
The caravan scene is fucking briliant. You get to see buck toothed Hopkins at probably his finest im a prick moment.

I'm starting Uni after the summer and would love to be a boxing writer in later years. Wish I was a good boxer though as I would be a punters dream I reckon considering Darren Barker didn't even know who Archie Moore was!

yep! He's paid his dues. Although he can be short with some people he gives us the time of day when he doesn't really need to.
Don't get me wrong, Bunce stands to gain a bit from coming on here, like feedback, the odd idea etc, more viewers, but he has embraced the forum and gives and takes the stick very well.

I like Buncey's enthusasim and you can't knock that, but he does waste an awful lot of time on the boxing hour by waffling on and on about nothing, which after a while can become frustrating.

He went on a bit of a rant about boxing 'writers' who aren't prepared to put the graft in at the small halls etc and want to be fast tracked to the lights and the glory events. It was mainly aimed at certain internet writers.
