Fantastic list, Dan:good. Woods was outclassed on two occassions as well as Hatton. It may not be a popular choice but you could argue that Froch was only 1 round from an SD loss that should have been scored a UD; Taylor was competely dominating the first half of the fight. If Froch never turned it on in the last round then he would defo be on this list.

Froch wasn't technically 'owned' though if he was only going to lose a SD.

That's why I said it wouldn't be a popular choice, Kos:good. Put on his ass and was effectively a punch bag for 8 rounds. Also, there is no way, if it went to the cards, that it should have been a SD and you know it. Ultimately, he won and that's all that matters, though. Aside from Dan's list, I can't think of any more notable recent names, though:think.

If the fight had went to the cards, Froch had the momentum with him and floored Taylor twice (it would have been if the fight was not stopped).

Thus, it would have been a close, debatable fight - not an 'ownage'.

I'll repeat 'does no-one read'? I said, 'had the last round not have happened' meaning no KD, Einstein. Stop trolling:tong.

Even without the knockdown/s, it was still close, but clear to Taylor. I.E not an 'OWNAGE' which the TS asked for.

Past prime Conteh lost to Saad Muhammad
Randy Turpin lost his rematch to SRR
Honeyghan lost to Starling

Recently Luevano and Bradley have won world titles in Britain.

Paul Ingle beat Junior Jones on the Lennox-Grant card. That's two Brits beating Yanks on their turf on the same night :bbb

kosaros
08-18-2009, 10:30 AM
Yeah, I think Turpin beating SRR classifies here. Yeah it may have been a close victory, but any victory over SRR (even if he was out of his prime) is an 'ownage' :yep

Sure Nelson and Conteh will have a couple of victories over American's over here.

SRR 128-1-1 going into the Turpin fight. Turpin was only 23 (I think) and had never gone past 8 rounds :deal.

(We can forget the bit about Sugar being on a Euro tour, drinking and getting laid before fighting Turpin ;))

Contehs not the best example mate, he won over here but he was 0-2 when he went to America.;)
