This time it is quite funny mind.........
My biggest problem is getting sparring. I need a big, tall southpaw if you know of anyone," Froch stated. "I was thinking of giving Joe Calzaghe a ring. After all he was the best super-middleweight in the world. But I think he might be a bit too heavy these days."

That is quite magnanimous for Froch on JC! Maybe they've made up. At least he's slightly easing off now:lol:.

Calzaghe would be too worried for his health, to spar with Froch in all seriousness.

????? Please elaborate? I've not heard that one...
Seems every man and his dog gets to spar Carl in the UK. I'm always hearing boxers say they've sparred Froch. Seems like he's willing to get in there a lot and help out his fellow pros. I know recently he's been sparring with George Groves, and he's a regular spar mate with Darren Barker.

:rofl Really, can you watch it anyehere?
I think Froch's funny, he has quite a dry sense of humour. he needs to stop mentioning JC, although its been a while and the reporter prob mentioned Joe first.

I suppose they would be, being in the same stable.
There is a vid out there of Froch doing one of those 'joke' sparring sessions with a journalist, like Marquez did in the US. He got nailed by a right hand, amused me.

Ah not seen that. :D
One thing though, some of them journalists are tough bastards! Fair play.
Don't know if you are aware of a children's show called Blue Peter? It's been running since the dawn of time in the UK. I've not watched it since I was about 10 mind, so I'm not up to speed with it, but apparently one of the presenters regularly carries out various daring and/or physical challenges.
Back about three years ago I was at an amateur show here in Wales, and this tv presenter from Blue Peter was there. One of his challenges was to train as a boxer for six weeks and participate in a bout (amateur).
He had never boxed before, but in all fairness I was extremely impressed with the heart and guts he showed. He got a bust nose, etc but still gave it everything right through to the final bell. He was boxing a proper amateur boxer not just some stooge either. I think he even won the decision!

That link's not working for me either. My browser's having none of it.
It's interesting how most people with no boxing experience can be the most awkward to fight, just due to their wild and erratic tendencies. Of course, that usually lasts no more than a round, if that...
Unless of course it's Brian Sutherland getting in there with a pro. :rofl

Just goes to show Froch has one of the best chins in the business. Calzaghe ducked Mark "The Mongoose" Hudson for years. :rofl

If he trained with Calzaghe, he'd have no problems with Dirrell (not that I think he will anyway!)
