"Sonny Liston picked up his coffee and doughnut money for the year
when he knocked out his former sparring partner Amos (Big Train) Lincoln
..."

Randy Gordon quoting Carl "Bobo" Olson in an article called
"BOBO OLSON---NO ONE TO BLAME BUT HIMSELF:

"Olson said when he signed with Flaherty, Sid told him,
'You take care of the fighting , I'll take care of the money'.
Throughout his career, Bobo insists Flaherty upheld his end of the
bargain all too well.":deal:patsch:oops::bbb:fight

Recent quote by Sandy Ibrahim of Capital City Boxing regarding
women's boxing in the Olympics:

"this decision will have an enormous impact on the sport with the potential for increased awareness, funding and participating".

Interesting quote, however , the four corners of public relations in boxing
include P A G E - (by B. Zelley, 1985).:hi::happy:welcome:stir
P - Public Awareness
A - Acceptance
G- Growth
E - Education

But, it is a never ending process, so it is never time to sit and :partytime

for :respect respect it is a 24/7 process:cheers:grouphug

Here's something I've heard my dad say on occasion. An ex boxer.

On Boxers

First your legs go, then your money goes, then your wife goes.

Don't know where he picked that one up.

John Ort would know about money ,he was heavily implicated in the scandal that severely discredited the Ring during the USA title fights,taking kickbacks in return for false ratings , he was afterwards referred to as John Bought.
