I know Shane and Williams can beat him. I would like to see if Cotto can adjust to Mosley's speed and power and try to rough him up on the inside if he can do that then Cotto has a good shot of beating him. Williams , it is hard to beat someone who throws 100+ punches a round I really don't care who you are. But N E ways if Cotto can do that and not get hit so much he has a good shot of beating Mayweather.

Does anyone think Cory Spinks could do it?

i'd rather hang myself than watch that fight. i enjoy watch floyd box most of the time but my word that would be truely awful.

To put it like someone did the other day (sorry cant remember who, but they used someone else), As a fan of PBF Cotto scares the shit out of me.

I know what you're saying, but maybe not. I think it COULD be a hell of a fight. If Spinks were to grab the WBC we might just find out.

Mosley has good speed and power to give Mayweather his first lost. The longer they wait to make this fight - the harder it's going to be for Shane to do this.

Hatton december 8th. Hey I am an optimist especially when it comes to british fighters doing well against the yanks.

Maywethers looks like an ugly little fish in that image, he really shows his age in the above snap shot.

Mayweathers looking more like his pops each day...... but anyways
I think Shane, Cotto, Hatton or Williams can either beat or ALMOST beat him.
Its only speculation until a fight actually happens.

Father time could catch up to him but I think he'll retire before then.

I'm trying to figure out what a 30 year old man is suppose to look like? :think I think this is a stupid comment.

Hatton has a good chance of beating him,but if he can't i can't see anyone doing it

Other - nobody beats him in the near future, but eventually his ego will get the best of him when he's started to fade a bit and he'll get beaten by some up and comer. Of these guys, Forrest has the best shot, but Mayweather will never fight Forrest - the money just isn't there, and he's too big of a risk. Same with just about anyone else at 154.

hatton most certainly ain't doing it. i have a feeling williams might be the most likely but i see floyd, well at least prime floyd finishing with a big fat zero.

Paul Williams unnatural reach and height plus his obviously good chin and fighting heart combined with the awkward style spells trouble for anyone , but I don't think they'll ever fight.Mayweather will avoid Wiliams like the plauge.

Sugar Shane Mosley has the best chance to beat Mayweather IMO.

I believe cintron has a shot, why? simply because he has manny steard on his corner, I believe at some point manny has been thinking a lot of the way to beat him, altough it all depends on him proving that he deserves to be an elite

if Floyd sticks around for a couple years and Williams continues to get better, I believe this might be the guy. Williams high workrate might be the thing that can stop floyd. Floyd reflexes might not be as good in a couple years. But at this point no one imo. He is the best

Cintron certainly as a shot epecially with his devastating one punch KO. I just think this might be the time for hatton, just like against KT when he his an underdog he comes out like an animal. Look at what he did to castillo I mean many pundits believed he would be to strong for hatton, and looked what happened.

I think that Williams would have probably moved up to 154 by then.

Of the guys at 140 and 147, Paul Williams is the toughest fight for Mayweather. Then Miguel Cotto.

Floyd may find losses where he least expects to, in the corridors of his castle, in the deer paths of the forrest or in a more tangled forrest, inside his own mind - when you go to retirement option cause it's said you couldn't entertain, you already lost, lost of self-respect, when you comeback from so-called retirement to defend a ww title against a light welter for finantial reasons, avoiding top rated welter contenders and titlists, you lose, lose credibility - so from there to a material loss, it's one inch distance to be conquered and it may well be Ricky who is not a good boxer at all - lose is actually the least that can happen to Floyd after so much crap he and his backers have given us, there's humiliation, there's shame, there's sorrow and I don't wish Floyd that cause I DO BELIEVE HE'S THE BEST BOXER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD at the moment...

Cory Spinks vs Mayweather would be an interesting matchup however it could potentially be the most boring fight. I'll just wait for fightnews.com to post the result.
