They are not posted anywhere online or in any magazines. The reason fro this is so prmoters can still cherry pick title defences. we only every hear about mandatory challangers from eliminaters.

There top 10 in each weight needs to be posted online and updated reguarly to make sure champions are fighting legitimate challangers.

Luckily ESB has its own rankings so true fans can know whats going on.

Do they even have rankings? They just seem to nominate people as mandos.

The Board's ability to communicate has improved 100 percent in the last five or so years. It still remains the only sport in the UK (amateur or professional) without a press office/officer.
Robert Smith has opened up lines of communication with the press - he's a top banana.
I've wanted ratings for years and years and years. It would be a decent PR move to release monthly ratings. It's not like asking the Board to insist fighter A meets fighter B...now that is impossible!
Adios.

So they don't have ratings? Even internally?

I think the board do a decent job on some issues - health and safety being the main one.

However, they need to address the issue of shocking home town points decisions, and also the level of journeymen that are imported.

If you want a journeyman to fight a lightweight, get one, not some unbeaten/never been stopped featherweight than can't fight a lick.

No ratings and no press officer. What a lovely state of affairs for British boxing!

Buncey, be good to hear your thoughts on our world and british rankings.

I remember setanta put up some rankings one you didnt agree with, maybe you could use the fan rankings in the future.

The ratings were from Boxrec and there was a glaring mistake. I pointed it out. Nobody, at that time, had a clue about the sport at Setanta back then. Do you remember all of the captions under fighter's faces. Tyson...underneath Ian Napa, Hopkins...underneath Pavlik, ******...underneath Brian Lawrence. Great days!

Adios and see you on the tour.

They've never had rankings. From their point of view, generally a champion either has to fight an opponent named by the Board, fight an opponent from a list set by the Board or have the opponent approved by the Board.

Thanks for clearing that up :good.

It is a bit shit tbh, it'd be better for the fans (especially of the casual type) to know who ranks where and who they have to beat to get a shot at the British title.

Damn I was hoping rob would be posting the rankings as I know they ain't anywhere to be found. Which is well frustrating!

We should let our thoughts be known

Good call:good. As Rob said earlier on another thread, it's stupid the BBBofC don't publish anything of note online.
