Tyson wasn't paid fully when he fought Danny Williams and Frank has been the one to blame...$1.2m he is owed but don't know if thats all coming from frank's pocket

Bloody hell. As you say, it's becoming extremely regular as well:think. Imagine if he goes under- I can't think whether it would actually be a good or bad for British boxing, TBH.

Frank ****** rightfully recieves a lot of stick for some of the fights he bills as "World Title fights". However, credit given where credit is due, it seems to be a while since we've had any WBU title fights...

In fairness, he hasn't marketed a WBU 'title fight' recently. You are correct in the sense that he (pathetically) added credence to yet more shiny straps. That said, you're gonna have to accpet that the WBO is, unfortunately, here to stay:-(.
Anyway, back to my point- I am split on it. Yeah, we won't see any more padded ******-stable records but eliminating Fwank doesn't mean that this will be eliminated completely. He has brought countless fighters into the world stage and you can't deny that (although many don't like it) he has become a staple of British boxing.
Think about it for a second, as much as I like Hennessey bills, do you think a ****** fighter would have fought for a title and not be on British TV? Let's face it, he is't here to satisfy us all but he is incredibly good at his job- and that is to promote.
I feel bad writing all that as it makes it sound like I am pro-****** but you have to look at these things from both sides of the coin:think.

I may be missing something here, but ******'s involvement in this fight was as Sports Network.
Therefore the debt is due from Sports Network - already in liquidation after the Calzaghe affair and making offers of 10p in the pound.
You've gotta luv him - always a furlong in front.

Yes he will & its fucking bollocks that in this country, you are allowed to do such a thing & by doing so it tunrns out in your favour!
Calzaghe is suing allegedly on a personal level now because ****** changed his company name, thus trying to get out of paying what he's meant to pay Calzaghe from the hearing at the High Court in London!
I hope Tyson gets his money, one way or another!

I think the WBU has gone as well.........
Hopefully the Commonwealth will be next, then the WBO.

I think the Commonwealth is still a good way for African fighters to 'make a name'. Its also a good 'plan B' if a fighter can't go down the Brit/ Euro route for some reason.

Hopefully the Commonwealth will be next, then the WBO.Nah Commenwealth isnt going nowhere it has too much historical significance. There was a time when if you held that belt you was as good as a world champ. The period in the early 2000's late 90's completely devalued it when ****** had his fighters pitted against African roadsweepers and drivers from Commenwealth nations no one had ever heard of. The BBofC just need to fix up and come up with a decent ranking system as well as mandatories.
As for the WBO i hope they go out of business.

I totally agree with that post.
Years ago you used to get genuine top class guys from Canada, Australia etc going for it. These days they don't even go near it.
This past year it has become the 'interim BBBoC British title' in all but name.

Err it was Sky that told Wazza to forget airing those shitty trinkets on their channel anymore.
No credit due there !
