What is your dream super boxer card?

Contendo

Ganoy vs. Zappa for the vacant IBO Lightweight title (Little more incentive/inticement for both fighters)

Asiku vs. Dib for the vacant IBO Featherweight title (Again as above)

Do I think both bouts will happen - NO, but hey, their both great bouts for SuperBoxer if could be made.

Actually, add in Hussy Hussein to the card and if the right opponent for the Flyweight /Super Fly title if possible? (No current champions in either weight class with the IBO) A sensational little fighter who has had no luck this year with an opponent pulling out 24hrs prior with Hep-B and Hussy getting a little injury the week prior to his most recent scheduled bout and having to pull out.

A great bloke and top fighter who deserves to be on SuperBoxer.

No love for the Yamaguchi rematch?

Mate, I don't manage Billy any longer so I couldn't tell you anything about where a potential Yamaguchi rematch is at.

Absolutely though if they can make it happen, I'd love to see that bout also.

Let's be straight though, I spoke to ****** Footit previously who represented Yamaguchi whilst here in Australia and he said to me personally that Kenichi didn't really care for the re-match. If it was there good, if it wasn't, well good also.

So despite all yours Leon, and everyone's else's 'inside knowledge' and 'expert opinion' on here previously, the Yamguichi camp weren't fussed on it at all.

I specifically offered it to Footit for him in Japan and he flat out refused and wanted no bar of it.

As I said, I'm no longer managing Billy and he's doing his own thing and where they go with bouts in the future, I have no information to offer. The thread here asks for dream bouts and I just nominated those from a boxing fans perspective.

You know, I let you get away with this one for awhile but why not be a little more honest about it.

You know Yamaguchi isn't registered in Japan.

You know the WBO isn't recognised in Japan.

I've also spoken to J. ustin and I agree with you that he wasn't too fussed, some might see it as Billys track record with rematches (Morali?) or the usual promotional problems.

I wasn't aware your not managing Billy anymore, still, it was a valid question I thought.

Can I ask whats happened between you and the Dib camp and who is their new manager?

Yamguchi can be registered in Japan at any given time so I don't agree with the first comment. To be frank, has anyone asked the question why he 'supposedly' can't be registered? I could be wrong, but I think that's just bullshit and his camps deflection there using that one.

The WBO doesn't need to be involved as far as a re-match if both parties genuinely want to make the fight. A regional belt is of really no significance to either I'm sure you'll agree?

Billy Dib is doing his own thing as I understand moving forward. I felt he and I were not on the same page moving forward with where his career should head and from what I understand, he's self-managing. I'll be frank and say I haven't spoken to him for 2-3 weeks after I resigned my position as I've been immensely busy with my other business interests and this takes up a lot of my time.

I have spoke to Billy Hussein once or twice just from a hello and catch-up perspective as I have a lot of time and respect for Billy H, however I can honestly say the only time we discussed Billy Dib was where Billy briefly mentioned he thought Billy would be appearing on October show that Jeff Fenech is putting together for Star City, but at that stage, even he was still unsure.

Billy H. and I spoke mostly about how he's enjoying Contender and with how Zappa's going.

I think that clarifies any questions you may have Leon quite sufficiently considering I don't know who you are personally and private discussions should remain that.

I'm just on here as a boxing fan and respond to the odd post that jumps out at me here and there.

You bloody Upton Park bastard you!!!!!

You'll actually have a laugh Phil, I was at a restaraunt the other night with some friends and the manager's a geezer and I asked where from and he's say's - "Souf Eass Lundan" in his right cockney accent. I then say "So your Millwall then?"

He's answers with "Leave it out, I'm West Am and ave' been since me Grandad taking me to Upton Park as a lad!!! We both chit chat then for a couple of minutes about all things football.

As he walks off, I sing out "I'm forever blowing bubbles".. to which he responds, coupled by another patron who must be West Ham also into full voice "Pretty bubbles in the air, they fly so high".....

He turned and we had a right laugh, followed by the complimentary bottle of bubbly he sent over, a diamond geezer if there ever was one in my books!

..."AND LIKE MY DREAMS THEY FADE AND DIE! FORTUNES ALWAYS HIDING - I'VE LOOKED EVERYWHERE. I'M FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLES, PRETTY BUBBLES IN THE AIR!"

Great story - all West Ham are top-flight and will always look after you... unless it was Bill Gardner, Teddy Bunter or Cass Penant that you called Millwall, then I doubt we would be having this conversation!

...."UNITED, UNITED, UNITED"....

You could see my logic though couldn't you as soon as he said South-East London, I mean that's classic Millwall isn't it? (SE16!) As I said, he was a diamond geezer though and we had a good laugh!

You know there's a movie out about 'Cass Pennant' that's about to be released on DVD? I was at Video Ezy just last night and I saw the cover and the staff said next week. Should be great and make for great viewing.

The reviews said better than 'Football Factory and Green St Hooligans'. I saw one recently which was 'Rise of the Foot Solider' and that was West Ham also.

Contendo dont you think it would be foolish if a fighter the calibre of Billy Dib was self managing ? Isnt there a chance you could get Billy moving forward again he was very active when you were his manager. Bad move to be self managing.

Isnt Billy Hussein good mates with Elias Nasser, isnt there something he could do to help you guys out, I read that he is helping Lenny Zappa get over to the States later in the year. He has got Victor Oganov fighting in the US in November against allan Green if Victor can get a start over in the US surely Billy is a shoe in !

Hey Phil/Contendo, What did you guys think of Rise of the footsoldier?
I liked that show Immensely, I've heard a bit of conjecture about the accuracy in some parts of it but thought it was well put together.

Also noticed 'Turbo' Terry Stone played the part of a drug crazed maniac pretty well, spose he has a bit of experience from his raving days!

Also seems like Essex was a bit of a wild west in the early 90s
