Just heard this rumored for Oct. 6 at Madison Square Garden.
Guess it makes sense since McCline loss his fight, and Williamson was apparently in camp with Vitali.
Williamson UD10 in a slow fight....

I am not sure why everyone bases TOS off the Byrd fight? He waxed Jefferson, Mollo, UD McCall and is usually in entertaining fights. Get off the man, he's ranked 4th in the WBA.

I think most dislike Williamson cause he seems too hesitant to engage, and is willing to let round after round go by as he does nothing but run and move.

I wouldn't mind this being on the card since it's another decent heavyweight fight. McCline deserves this fight. The guy just can't catch a break.

TOS is a big ass joke. Every fight I've ever seen him in all he does is run.

Then you have watched very few of his fights! Was he running versus McCall, Mollo, Jefferson, Wlad? I have seen him fight several times and if your argument is based on Wlad, how was Wald so swelled up after 4 rounds? Let me guess head buts? Nope....20 KOS in 24 fights is not from running...

Did anyone else see TOS's "DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS" impersonation against Mesi? :rofl

I say whatever keeps the heavyweight machine churning. It's obvious nobody wants to fight anybody to get to the top, unless they're a bum (outside of Sam Peter and a solid handful of former Soviet hopefuls). I think this one (the fight) will at least determine who gets dropped from the upper tier of the rankings. I'd favor McCline, but I don't think he'll do it. He looked very determined against Valuev and I was hoping he would be able to finish that fight. But I have a feeling TOS will probably win. Lets just hope if the fight happens he makes it a show, unlike his stinker with Byrd.

not sure, this could go either way. either a good fight - or an absolute snooze-fest.
