If IRON MIKE KIRBY beats SOLOMON he could be gettin a shot FRAN'S BOTHA'S W.B.F title.

He has no chance. Botha is unstoppable and he has a world title to prove it.

Kirby would give anyone an uncomfortable night, I would rather see Kirby fighting one of the english stars like Rogan, Now I think that is a winnable fight for him

I've been a Botha fan for years, so if this fight materializes, I will undoubtedly root for him. I have never heard of this Kirby fella, what's his story my friends?

I have to admit, I do have a soft spot for Botha, but I don't think he is or has ever been world champion material. He's just likeable, since he always puts up a decent fight and is so much tougher than he looks.

Yeah the Lewis fight just showed the calibre of Lewis when he is up for it IMO. Kirby can be an uncomfortable night for anyone but Botha would be a big leap too

Sounds like a rough and tough guy. I will have to research this further to see how a potential match up between him and Botha would go down.

Very, very strong and un-orthodox - one of those guys whose demeanour outside of the ropes belie his fighting spirit. Botha would have to be a heavy favourite but you would not count him out against anyone

He's been in the gym for year's but only had 6 amateur fights but a lot of sparring with a lot of tough nuts from the western suburbs the K1 fighter MARK HUNT, The big 140 kg unit amateur super heavy AHMET TEMUR, STEVE CIRPARA, young underfeated tongan SOSAIA FUNAKI and HOPPER stopper BRIAN FITZGERLD.

I like Kirby's style out of the ring.....he's got a bit of lip and he enjoys the banter between the top fighters in AUST.......he's a larrikin and he will beat Soloman.....just ask him :D

Sounds like an interesting fight to me. Last i heard he Botha is fighting in europe (probarbly germany). I also have not heard of this Kirkby fellow. So i wonder if that means it will be there? Id like to see Botha in even better shape than his last fight to show he is really on his way back. If he is Kirkby will have his work cut out for him.

Now having never seen this Kirby fella before, I shouldn't comment, but isn't this a step backwards for Botha? He beat Timo Hoffman last time out (granted a much lesser version of Hoffman than what we are used to) and this just doesn't seem to be a step forward for Botha imho. Any thoughts?

Aussie boxer BIG BOB MIROVIC fought TIMO and got robbed and i think KIRBY would stop BIG BOB it might be a step back for BOTHA but its a step up for KIRBY i just can't BOTHA winning unless he jabs grabs and runs

Kirby has less than 10 fights however he has fights against 2 of our best HW'S in Briggs and Leapai.......Kirbys very tough but hes no Timo or Botha just yet.....its a big step up for Kirby and a step back for Botha.....however if Kirby does beat Solomon it changes things a little.

Botha has had 3 fights in 7 years, 2 this year....
Haven't seen any of the fights. His last win was a split decision.
If Kirby comes in fit and fights upfront taking it to Botha he will have every chance of taking this by KO IMO.

WBF = Worthless crud Title
Why would any fighter bother. Sure on Paper it says World Champ. In reality it means you might be in the top 150 Heavies in the World.

Solo is shot, Kirby should take him if he survives the first three rounds of overhead bombs. Solo seems lost if that strategy doesnt work...
be a good matchup with botha :good

create ripples on the world heavyweight scene.

Botha and Couser was suppose to fight each others in 2005 but fell out because of mangerment for Cliff Couser side. and now Cliff Couser have no manger and will fight for 2 more or 1 more yesr. i will like to fight Botha or any other fighters in there Home town or Country and win. i am mike tyson brother and i come to bring the pain. my email [Only registered and activated users can see links] serious reply only. I am in trainging camp and will be fit for the fan and ready for the promoters or matchmakers that email me to go to war. Fighting overseas i know i have all odds against me that i will have to be in top fit shape to beat the over fight down and punish him with the pain i have in my soul. As on now i have no mangers and no promoter and will travel anywhere to fight and win. i want to feel the other fighter bones sink into my gloves and hopely that fighter will be able to walk out for the nest round. I am more than a boxer i am a fighter i am a entertainer. Am here to put on a show and sellout the show as well as meet and greet fight fans . I have been training for 40 days now. shopping wood, swimming, sprinting, pump weights, pushups 100 per day, pullups 100 per day and taking the weekend off. am trained just like the young mike tyson back in the Cus days. which i am faster quicker and pissed. i am ready and thank you EastSideBoxing.com for letting me use your site to promote myself . Thank you all.

After Haumono, Kirby will fight:
- Col Wilson on the Star City card in Oct.
- Then he's got a fight in Japan. I'm not sure if it's against a Jap HW, I'm just trying to think what i was told....maybe it's against an African but it's in Japan. Anyway, there is definateley a fight lined up in Japn for the Rhino...I know that much.
Is their an African HW based in Japan? I don't follow the HW's too closely.
