...yeah, hagler was good. i think the best ever though was joe louis. he had only one rematch with a guy wyho beat him the first time (schmeling) so the loss reverses aren't as plentiful on his record. but he always kayoed the guy who gave him trouble the first time with a quicker kayo the second.
bob pastor went the 10 round limit in thier first fight before joe won the title and went 11 rounds in their title fight....but the improvement here was a kayo win over a decision.

walcott gave louis so much trouble in their first fight that many thought jersey joe won. he gave louis some trouble in their rematch until louis exploded with a kayo barrage.

who are some other fitghters that were great rematch guys?

Ray Robinson and Ray Leonard come to mind, especially Leonard, with his devious mindset and ways.

Brockton guys have a good rematch record but in a few of the cases the fighter was not the same guy (Vito Antufermo) but for the most part tough fights for the opponents have a lot to do with them not performing as well in the rematch

Adjustments,,,,,,,,,,,not really.

He fought the same way in both Vito Antuofermo bouts.

He fought the same way in the first 'two' Sugar Ray Seales bouts.

He fought the same way in the first 'two' Willie Monroe bouts.

The results were different, but Marvin didn't make any major changes in his style.

The second Bobby 'Boogaloo' Watts bout in 1980 , was a result of a 31 year-old 'Boogaloo' losing his ability to
take a punch. He was on the downside slope of his career. He was not the same fighter as he was in
1976 at 27 years of age.

I wouldn't say Lewis was, personally.

McCall bottled it in the rematch, Holyfield arguably beat him and he only did to Rahman what he ought to have done first time.
