Why? Randy is confusing me. He retired. Came back. Fell out with the UFC and Dana and now signs a 6 fight contract at 46?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$:think Randy's not short for a bob or two. He does very well outside of the UFC. I think he's doing it because he actually LOVES fighting. Fair play to him but i worry about his health. At 46 its only a matter of time..
At this point he should be taking 1 fight at a time, especially at his age his punch resistance is not what it was, Nog almost had him out a couple times.
6 seems 3 or 4 way too much. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight another few times but 6 is a bit much.

I love Randy but father time finally is starting to catch up alittle and by the 6th fight comes around now im sure he will be getting seriously hurt.

I am sure that he simply plans on staying in the UFC until he retires. If he keeps is winning, then 6 fights isn't that bad. If he takes a couple brutal losses... he can retire at any time. I am sure that Dana White has the ability to release Randy from his contract as well if Randy is looking bad. Let's be real though... Randy is always fighting the best in the world, and he isn't exactly looking bad doing it.

I hope Randys next fight is somewhat of a softy.

If anyone deserves it... it's him.
Isn't he getting divorced? Might need it for that.

not only is 6 fights a long time, dana said he can fight heavy or light heavy, and last time he fought at light heavy he looked so drawn it was scary.
coutures a legend, but he needs to serve as a gatekeeper, if he beats a couple of up and comers give him one last title shot. if he doesn't then maybe that'll convince him to give it up.

I wouldnt mind something like a fight with Heath Herring though who obviously isnt easy but he presents some advantages to Couture style wise and its a big enough fight to get people exicted but at the same time hes not continuing to fight a sort of murderers row type.
Couture should move down to 205 and get tossed a former TUF loser. Of course, I doubt the UFC would throw him in with a nobody and stick him in a prelim fight. So, maybe Couture v. Coleman?

Wait so it's fine for a 46 yr old to continue fighting but not for Liddel? Randy is suffering worse abuse since his roided up head keeps absorbing so much punishment.:-(

Theres been allegations for some time that he's on growth hormones. Judging by his conditioning at 46 and that big swollen head its not that much of a long shot..

Couture vs Crocop anyone?
Its actually an intruiging fight although if Cro Cop knocks off a top contender in Dos Santos I wanna see him in with somebody that can earn him the title shot. Giving Randy a 3rd straight loss wouldnt entitle him to a title shot IMO.

Yeah I hear ya. I'd like to see Crocop vs Mir more actually, maybe in a title eliminator if they both win their next fights. I think it would last about 45 seconds if Cro brings his a game. I'm just not sold on Mir though, I can't help but think everybody will beat him :patsch a little biased I guess.
Fights for Randy:
Loser of Mir / Kongo
Herring
Coleman at Heavy
Vera at Lt Heavy
Liddel at catchweight or Heavy

Damn he was skinny before his "natural" training regimen took place and I like how his jaw expanded ten fold. He must do some killer face/head workouts....:patsch

In Randy's defense... he always had that head/jawline since he has been older competing in wrestling/MMA.
I thought he was already divorced..:think
Ahh, maybe. Im not sure. I like MMA but I don't love it.
Don't know why, I cant seem to get a hard on for it 24/7.

not really, gonzaga was seriously hampered by the nose injury which was caused by a lucky headbutt after the slam rsndy done and affected his breathing a lot, i wouldnt call it a beating and going by coutures last 2 performances gonzaga would make the fight a lot more competitive now, who are they gonna put gonzaga in against next? velasquez?

It would be, anytime there is a halfway intriguing bout made they milk the shit out of it, and if the fight card starts to look too interesting they remove fights for later, more uninteresting events.
UFC 92 was a good fight card, 100 also, in their defense.

Randy head is nothing on Tito's.
Well I personally dont think Randy has got 6 fights left in him, not at Heaveyweight anyway. I think the length of the deal is to stop him goin to Strikeforce tbh.
