just read on ********* that Briggs has pulled out of his fight with mendoza! what's up with him? he was useless in his last fight against that south african middleweight yet he still has the nerve to challenge green, mundine and even soliman. he pulled out of garay and now this fight? this was a gret fight for him to see where he is really at and thats whats wrong with aussie fighters, they get the chance to stand up, and walk away.

think he needs to have a good hard look at himself as to whether or not he wants to continue. maybe he's been hanging round that clown lewis too long and its rubbing off?

he's not exactly got time to be stuffing around so he should either get his head right or retire before he gets hurt.

Sad to see Briggs pulling out of fights.:-(
You wonder if his heart is still in it anymore.:think

I reckon he should challenge Danny Green, & if he loses call it a day.

on recent form doesn't deserve thsi fight and I would imgaine would ask for ridiculous money in which he brings very little to the table. easy kill for green on recent form as there is no way he could handle green's oncoming pressure and power.

Yeah Green on recent form would have to beat Briggs imo................

Yeah after watching him in his second fight with Adamek that is exactly what i thought. That he no longer has the heart and desire.
I felt he ould have did alot more and just let it slip.
I would have loved to seen geen fight him after that fight.

He is now known as Paul "missfire" Briggs, he was sparring Haumono so he might have been knocked out.

he pulled out of garay and now this fight?

Don't talk absolute rubbish. Very misleading. Garay pulled out of negotiations to fight Drews rather than Briggs in an eliminator. He's injured, big deal.

maybe he's been hanging round that clown lewis too long and its rubbing off?

You've got no idea...

he's not exactly got time to be stuffing around so he should either get his head right or retire before he gets hurt. You're a rooster mate. First you have a sook attack about Lewis saying that Green could beat Tarver after he originally said that he should retire, and now you're saying the same about Briggs because he's supposingly postponing his fight due to injury.
No fighter should fight injured, Briggs apparently proved this in his last fight. green has postponed/cancelled fights due to being injured before too, so I guess he along with whoever is training him should also retire?

Clown! :patsch

Briggs could do with a read of his own book I reckon. Such an inspiring read, he needs to be reminded of that hunger he had to be world champ. Hope he still has it hey, would be a real shame to him fade out of the scene. Chin up Briggs!

The rumor goes like this...

Apparently Briggs is back on the drugs again and has been for some time.
Him, Johns, and also Dan Carter were caught using H in an alley way outside an asian brothel.

I know this is true because....

....

someone reliable told me.

Just meaning that he is talking shit about Paul Briggs. I hope he reads the website, tracks him down and puts a hit on him :(--- Okay, thats a bit much. Maybe just spit in his face or something. Anyway, I wouldn't believe much of what comes out of Pecks mouth. Bort and Pecks are experts at stirring the pot it would seem. With Teke not far behind.

I thought it was Garray that pulled out?

This is too bad for Briggs, he was a championship level fighter at one time, now it may be time to retire...if the fire isn't there, hang em up Paul.

Garay vs Erdei is on!

shiner

he can come find me and I will tell him the exact same things I have said on here to his face. sometimes the truth needs to be said and hurts! I am loking pretty spot on at the moment as I don't see any fights for him and his last one didn't leave the world kncoking on his door in excitement.

Garay vs Erdei is on!

What's the point? Garay deserved at least one of those decisions but always got the short end of the stick against Erdei, why will this fight be any different?

I hate to say it, but I think with writing his book and exorcising his childhood demons, I'm afraid Briggs may well have lost his killer instinct?

I hope not, I really do, as I would love to see him get that elusive world title, but I can't help but think that he was driven by what happened to him when he was a kid, and was so intense about his training and fighting due to it.

I think now that he's opened up about it all and confronted himself and come to terms with who he is, that he's finally mellowed out and perhaps he should retire, and concentrate on his family and the other work he was getting involved in (helping kids out, etc).

Part of Briggs' success was his vicious streak which parlayed into an incredible will to win and finishing ability. Now he's defeated his demons, he has mellowed a bit I guess which left him lacking the killer instinct? Just guessing here, only Briggs would know. I know one thing, don't write him off yet.

EDIT - OK already said by Muttley, lol
