This is a match thats more interesting than Lesnar/ Carwin, stylistically, for me.
Gonzaga can KO him standing and is of course a threat on the ground. He's also a solid 260. He has more ways of beating Lesnar than anyone else in the UFC right now.
You have to think that Lesnar will score a takedown, and it will be about how good GG is off his back and how much punishment he can take before he quits. As we've seen, he doesn't react well to being beaten up. He is a world champion in jj. Now, I don't know because I haven't seen any of his matches, but I'm guessing hes won a lot with good positioning mainly. From what I've seen Mir seems to have better jj for mma, or at least submissions. He wont outwrestle Lesnar though obviously.
btw, is there anyone on paper more dangerous than Gonzaga, the guys striking power is scary and and hes a Mundial champion?!

Aye, this would be a solid matchup. I'd still favor Lesnar as Gonzaga can be controlled by a good wrestler.

You mean only UFC???
Yeah in the UFC, he is the biggest threat when he is on his game.

As fearsome as he is on the feet and on the ground he just seems to switch off... Stylistically though he causes ALOT of problems for any heavy.

I want to see Gonzaga get his shit together first, right now he is so inconsistent.
On paper he has a good style to beat Lesnar, but it comes in patches.
His BJJ matches are actually not like what you are probably thinking of as a rule; he isn't a takedown and top game for points guy like Arona. He actually pulls guard quite a bit because so many people basically stall against him on the feet; he had to develop a smaller guys game because people would avoid him getting top position. That being said it's still not as slick as a guy like Maia, who has beat him, but it's not just a grinding out points style either.

When Gonzaga is on he is a fucking terror just as long as he doesnt get hit he usually starts to fold. Id like to see Gonzaga beat a top guy in the meantime he hasnt beat a above average opponet since Cro Cop and is 0-3 since agianst top guys. That said I think Gonzaga can beat anyone in the world even Fedor.
