It's official. On December 1 at Madison Square Garden the IBF No.1 contender, Danny Green from Australia, will take on the light heavyweight champ Antonio Tarver.

Whilst the match up and date are set in stone the Green camp is doing it's best to convince the Tarver camp to fight in Australia, a very real possibility due to the huge financial support behind Green as well as the fact that this fight could easily sell out a venue like the Telstra Dome that holds over 40,000 people.

Since stepping up to lightheavy Green has looked awesome and will give a big show.

When did Antonio Tarver become the Light Heavyweight Champ - I think you mean FORMER Light Heavyweight Champ.

Are they adding Forrest to this card?

Sorry I wasn't more word specific. Wasn't mentioned as an official elimination bout but would assume so.

BTW, is Forrest the IBF champ?

Go Greeny!!

Big fight for Green, if he wins this in the US, it's a good springboard for him.

Tarver was fortunate to escape with a victory over Muriqi. This fight will be very difficult for him and test what he has left. If Tarver is not in shape and ready to fight then Green will KTFO!

Tarver is more experienced against better opposition and IMO more talented.

But he can't let his guard down. Green can punch the living daylights out of him.

Green is tailor made for Tarver - a one-dimensional brawler who he can bloody and batter. If Tarver's any more on his game than he was against Muriqi, he should be able to box circles around Green. I imagine the first half of the fight will be close, and Tarver will blow him out in the second.

Tarver is the better boxer and is going to win this fight. Tarver by UD or late TKO.

Green is very dangerous and carries big power. However, I get the feeling that Tarver is the better boxer, has been in with the better fighters, and has more talent/skill...I'll take him by UD

If Tarver gets lazy Green will definitely hurt him though. Going off his last performance, I am starting to feel that Green is a VERY live underdog, and depending on the odd maybe worth a bet. He was heavily draining himself at SMW, where as so far at light heavy he has looked very strong.

Yup, Tarver isn't getting any younger and Danny Green always has the proverbial punchers chance. Definitely a live underdog
