I ask the question because there are some more quotes from him in the Sunday Mirror regarding John McDermott and Frank Maloney.....
Must admit I find him pretty amusing at times though he does take it a bit far on occasion.
''There's nothing personal between me and McDonut''
''Big Bad John isn't a bad nickname.... he is big and he's not very good''
''I've been sparring with some big Ukranians''
There is even more from his father in the issue of Boxing Monthly, he seems like a right bullshitter :nut

+1. People were complaining about a boring division a year ago- guys like Fury are just what boxing needs. I voted for 'not fussed' because I'm genuinely not bothered by him. Most of his comments are purely hype and it's not like he's saying anything derogatory about his foe's outside of the ring. Characters are what makes this sport even more exciting. His gypsy dad is hilarious as well. Up the Fury:good.

I think that's just the way he is....not really intentional

Yeah I was the 'other' not fussed. I would have put that I found him funny until he made that comment about there being no decent trainers in the Manchester area ?? Fat gypsy fuck !

Not fussed. He seems OK. He talks a bit of shit now and again but thats just part of promoting his boxing career.

I like him a lot. He has a glint in his eye when he does his trash talking.
I would have gone to the Mcdermott fight if it was (as originally scheduled) at York Hall, but I'm looking forward to seeing it in telly now. I think Fury wins in 2

I dont really care either way. I dont tend to pay much attention to personalities as i dont think they are ever a true representation of the person outside the boxing life. One thing is sure though , these knob heads that no one likes, you all talk about them.... any publicity as they say!

Fury makes me laugh, he just says the first thing that comes into his head and doesnt care. He is a character and is good for the game.

I am not fussed about what he say's. He can be funny and sometimes annoying but not enough for be take take against him. The lad is a good addition to the domestic division.

fury is good for the sport its what we need, im sick of hw's having too much repect for each other and the better hw is the one who has more letters infront of their name ie wlad, bring it back to teh days of holmes doing drop kicks off cars, fury brings that excitement and he has the gypsy status which adds excitement there is a huge buzz around ireland within the gypsy community they think he is the next coming of joe louis, did anyone know fury is closely related to andy lee, just thought id fill you all in on that vital bit of info

Yeah there was an excellent review of Irish boxing in Boxing Monthly this month and it stated that Andy Lee's granny and Tyson Furys granny are sisters....

I think his comments are very much tongue in cheek, he'll never bad-mouth a guy without a huge grin, it's not as though he actually hates these guys, he's just getting his name out there and adding a bit of spice to the division.

McMuffin is better than McDonut :deal:)
Anyway, I think he is a good character (I did think he was a right twat at first) and makes me laugh at times - especially when talking about Maloney :yep

Yeah, |I am with you there. He seems an OK lad and the cheap talk is not unusual for someone in his position.

I think he's great and is always good in front of the camera.
Whenever he says something derogatory about another fighter it's always through the media i.e you never see him say it just read about it. This makes me think it is Hennessey or one of his cronies doing the stirring - Tyson is always respectful.

Spot on,seven fights only but he needs work ,as for the badmouthing 9 times out of 10 the promoters are looking for a bit of hype , poor ticket sales perhaps, though you would think this would sell?
Tongue in cheek for sure, look at his demeanour when he talks. He knows he's playing around.
I think he is pretty funny and exactly what the sport needs. Fury vs Haye in a few years anyone?

His old man brags about one his sons having 70+ convictions for violence.
Tyson seems a much better lad, he's a good laugh and it's clear he doesn't do it with any real malice.
He's genuinely exciting and one of his fights will always be interesting, especially when there's still question marks over him.
If he beats McDermott he should fight the winner of Prizefighter. Then the winner of Rogan-Sexton 2. He seems like the kinda' guy who will back it up, let's get bhind him lads :good
i find him pure and utter crass. The thing is if he was a champion and fught names who were somebodys ( i know he cant get the opponents) but i dont think he really has the authorty to act the way he does .
Also if amir khan acted like that we would all be up in arms about it ,and rightly so .He should leave it till he has done something and look to work on getting into shape

Seems quite arrogant to me - fairly cocky, constantly chewing gum during interviews - but i really couldnt give a fuck if a boxer is arrogant. Goes with the territory and almost every fighter is telling you im gonna win this title, batter that fighter, etc etc. Fury doesnt come across as the sharpest tool though, the wise-cracks seem a bit rehearsed. Dont see the fuss in getting wound up by what any fighter says mind you. Had to laugh when his promoter was boasting that they'd asked all the UK heavyweights for a fight and nobody fancied it, they were all scared. Interviewer says "what, even Chisora?" Hennessy squirms a bit and says something like "well we asked all the guys outside the top 10....":rofl

'McDonut' If fury himself came up with that, its hilarious. I like the way he just says what hes thinking. Like in his last fight he admitted he couldnt train properly and even took the piss out of the opponent he fought. People forget that this guys still very young.

He's got to cut out that habit of closing his eyes and tilting his head back when he thinks a punch might be on the way.

Personality wise he seems really sound
Boxing wise he's a bit of a freak show, I don't think he's that good...
And I can't really respect a young fighter who can't even get in shape
This fight with McDermott will tell us a fair bit

why what did he try do like Naseem
{as for the question I don't think he's that good of a fighter and I think he is going to get found out , and I find his personalitly to be annoying and very arkward}
