Watched Cardle box the other day and he looked very good. Faces Alexis Vastine for a place in the 1/4.

It says that the coverage is available only in country's which are not broadcasting the event, and Britain isn't. I don't know what's wrong with the site but it only seems to work when it want's to. Watched some of the heavyweight last night, but haven't been able to watch anything today.

The Brit team is weak at the moment.

Can you imagine how much coverage this event would have got if it was a bunch of poofs running round a track in lycra? Ban the BBC.

Paddy Barnes was beaten 15-4 by Kenya's Pater Munkai, my mate said it was a joke, the scoring. Well anyway he's been sent home now coz he took his gloves off kicked one of them into the crowd and then swore at them. Thing he gave them the fingers and/or the wanker sign too.

Tony, did you watch the Paddy Barnes fight ? If so was it as bad as my mate was telling me ? He said the scoring was ludicrous (unsuprising really) but i'v heard Barnes went mad, booted his glove into the crowd then started swearing at them

Yeah, hasn't something like this happened to him before ?

Olympic semi finals, he was well beaten but didn't get points for a lot of scoring punhes. When he was interviewed afterwards he was asked how it feels to have won the bronze medal, he said that they could keep their medal and that bronze was for losers

The boy doesn't like to lose that's for sure. I can see him turning pro where he can put all that aggression to good use :good

That Mongolian boxer that beat Campbell is top drawer, I saw him fight in the previous round and he looked like a classy boxer.

"Super" Stephen Simmons (Sco) is up against Oleksandr Usyk (Ukr) in the 3rd round of the 91Kg heavy.

What about the piss poor crowd, it's a disgrace. I thought that the British ABA's crowd was small, this looks worse.

Thats a complete and absolute disgrace...Barnes was schooling the Kenyan in the last round and never scored a point :-(

Unfortunately you're down right Tony, British and Irish boxers have to fight ridiculously well to get their dues at the top level of the Ams.

I was calling for Barnes to turn pro after these Championships and I'd say now I'll get my wish. Outside of Ashley Sexton there doesn't seem to be to much quality at British/Commonwealth Flyweight level and the European scene is pretty weak at the moment too. Plenty of opportunity for Paddy to do very well for himself in the pros and he's got a good style for it.

I wouldn't mind him getting that Kenyan again in the future for the Commonwealth title, I don't think the Judges scores would be needed :p

Scott Cardle lost. He fought a cuban number 1. He said he is way more experience than him and the fight was stopped on a bleeding nose said he could have gone on but the cuban had more experience and was the better man on the night. Spoke to him on the phone today. Trains at my gym.
