Ruiz has taken step aside money and will appear on the card. Surely Sky will be pressing the promoters to put some British content on the bill to sell the PPV.

This could be a good opportunity for1 of our heavies - Who would you like?

The McDermott v Fury winner?

I thought Sprott was being bandied about but I think that would be a snooze fest, as would fights with Williams or Harrison. Why not chuck Fury in there with him if he gets past McDermott? I know people will say, it's too soon or whatever but as far as I'm concerned Ruiz is a glorified club fighter who's unscrupulously used hugging and his promoter to maintain a false position within the division.

Why not spice it up and have the Prizefighter tourny winner fight Ruiz:think? It'll be a German if Sauerland have anything to do with it, though.

I reckon Ruiz will insist on a can. He's got Sauerland by the balls as regards the WBA mando issue. He wants as much money for as little risk as possible, and he wants a guaranteed shot at the Haye vs Valuev winner.

He'll get both.

If Audley wins Prizefighter give him a go at Ruiz.

Wouldn't it be great if Fury or th prizefighter winner went over and bashed Ruiz up, so Haye don't have to fight him after he deals with Valuev. Not that I's expect Fury to be expected to fight Haye in his first pro year of course.... noe do I see it actually happening at all but just a thought.

Ruiz is what's wrong with boxing.

I would much rather Ruiz injure himself and retire from boxing permanently.

Nah, after this amount of time let's see him sparked out in the ring and out of boxing once and for all.:smoke

To be honest the prizefighter winner getting this task would be great and to be honest I do not think Ruiz would duck for cover from the task. I mean the prizefighter bunch are past it never has been heavies or very inexperienced domestic fighters and non are anywhere near good enough to challenge for even Euro titles anymore plus the 3X3 format of prizefighter would make Ruiz think these guys were past it and not credible opponents so a good fight for him to take.

It would be nice to get a few Brits on the screen but I reaaly doubt any fighter will appear, especially from the Hayemaker stable.

What about that Nigerian that got rid of Brewster?

There is nobody worth fighting him. I could see Danny Williams or Sprott getting the nod because they are well known in Europe but both past it. They would be horrible fights.

I'd be happy if Audley got the nod.

It'd make it more interesting from a Brit point of view.

I think you could throw any of those heavies mentioned above in with ruiz and it would be competitive

ruiz won't want to be fighting anyone with a pulse. his team would probably find any of the top brit heavies too dangerous a prospect. we can't go ruining that carefully cultivated wba mandatory, now can we? there's probably a tad more step-aside cash to be made in the future...

Ruiz in theory is a winnable fight for Williams, Skelton, Rogan, Harrison etc In practice, they all have trouble and can lose. Skelton might welcome a cuddle.
