Yes I agree. I was just commenting on this to my friend Craig on the way to work this morning.

We've also got Brook v Jennings and Quigley v Smith on the 30 Oct.

Happy times indeed Ben.

Sure is.... all those complaints of how shit friday fight nights have become last year have been made for in one month alone!

Lets also not forget a week after all that action in the first week of November Haye fights Valuev on the 7th November (my birthday too:yep)
and then exactly a week later is Cotto vs Pacquiao aswell!!!:happy:happy:happy

Can't wait, particularly for Moore v Rhodes, Brook v Jennings and Thaxton v Murray.

In Each case, I can't see past Brook, Moore and Murray to walk away with both fights, in my opinion.

Rhodes, Jennings and Thaxton, while of course they are good solid boxers, all three are ringing the door bell to Mr Good Hidings house.

I'd have to agree with you Mr Blair.

I was thinking about going to Prizefighter. I'm broke so I probably won't go to any.... but it ain't a bad few weeks to stay indoors on a friday night though!

Do you mean they don't show boxing in your pub or are you going to go to the events live?

Bang on. They only show football an al-jeezera haha! Its a dodgy Italian/Greek hybrid box which has everything you don't want to watch on.

The Martin Lindsay v Paul Appelby fight had the best atmoshere I've ever seen on TV.

im looking forwar to brook jennings but rhodes moore is not as intriguing, rhodes doesnt bring anything to worry moore and why is moore not fighting higher level opposition already its very frustrating even from a non fans perspective

You're the only person I've heard who is unhappy about it. Light middle is a very poor weight class right now and aside from the belt holders, there isn't much for Moore to choose from. Moore fighting Rhodes looks set to be a WBC eliminator as they are both ranked high so I can't wait.

I don't see why people say this. There is a lot of good contenders in the division but no unbeatable fighters. Its a lot like light welter weight, without as much depth. Bradley, Holt, Torres, Urango, Khan, Maidana, Ortiz all good fighters but they are all beatable.

Light Middle has: Angulo, Cintron, Spinks, Martinez, Moore, Dzinziruk, Alcine, Mora and possibly Williams again. They aren't all world beaters but they are all on the same level.

I don't rate any of the belt holders very high and Williams is a middle right now otherwise he'll destroy all of them.

Nah Ben, LHL's right. LMW is a deep division but with no stand out guy at the top. That means all the guys are on the same level and could beat any of the others.

I know that, but none of them look like future super stars of the future do they?

Moore Rhodes is the big one for me, in what is a mega six weeks.

Mainly because Moore is from my neck of the woods. I'm hoping to persuade some 'casual fan' mates to attend.

I really like Brook too, so that's one I'm looking forward to.

I forsee a battering for Rhodes :yep

Desperate for this to be a WBC Eliminator......I reckon Martinez-Moore would be a helluva fight.

Looking good for October. A few cross-roads fights there and hopefully see that our most promising fighters have it in then to move up.

Being that Froch, Jennings, Moore and Rhodes are probably my 4 favourite British fighters its going to be one hell of a month, going to the Notts, Liverpool bills and gonna get tickets for Moore/Rhodes later in the week, fuckin expensive month too!

Jamie Moore is from Walkden in Salford, probably 4 miles away from Bolton Arena, relatively convenient for Sheffield too

I used to live in Salford, full of character, but a very tough place.
