How would this fight play out (prime Forrest)?

Forrest too big, too strong, hits too hard and had a good job.
Floyd wouldn't step into the ring with him. Not knocking Floyd but he isn't a Welter.

Floyd is hard to pick against. Vernon was a real good technician who used his height and reach really well. He would make it a very interesting fight. I would still lean towards Floyd, he wouldnt mix up as much as Mosley did and be a little harder for Forrest to hit, plus he's an excellent technician in his own right with a little better defense. I cant see Vernon applying the pressure that ODLH did on Floyd either, so I would pick Mayweather in a interesting tactical good fight.

I dont think he would need to lefty...Given his Forrest's own high level of technical ability and very obvious skills at range I dont think he would need to pressure Floyd like that.
I think he can make Floyd come to him and just edge his way forward.
Interesting fight...its just Floyd never really impressed at welter. Not compared to what he was capable of at 130-140.

The best boxer Forrest fought was Quartey, both past prime but most had Forrest losing that 1. He out fought, out timed and outboxed Mosley, which made him look like Hearns. But Mayweather is no where near as easy to land on and is far sneakier. Forrest speed, rangyness and jab could be the out doing of FMJ though. I'm going tentatively with Mayweather, if its close with 4 rounds to go he will have the better stamina down the stretch as he's got excellent stamina and closes well in fights

But don't you also agree that Floyd has thrown less and less punches as he moves up?
Do you think Floyd would beat Jackson at 154?

I fancy Forrest in this one. Probably on points.

Yes because hes too small to exchange, either that or he doesnt want to be hit or his stamina isnt what it was. However Floyd's connect percent is very high, while his opponents is very low, its not always exciting but its mighty effective. Prime Forrest would be his toughest 147lb+ fight alongside DLH and Vernons speed/range/jab would be a tough tough challenge.
Another factor is werent Vernon and Floyd friends, this may impact the fight somewhat
I'd probably pick Jackson to stop Floyd, like Lefthook31 says its hard to measure because we havent seen Floyd lose and we havent seen enough of him against 154lbers.
