Id love to see him unify some titles but in a rematch with Wlad he would get pummeled again.

I think Peter would beat Maskaev and Ibragimov/Holyfield by knockout. Chagaev would be a 50-50 fight in my opinion, and I think he gets stopped late by Wlad the 2nd time around.

I'm fairly certain that Don King won't let Randy Newman anywhere near ringside for the rematch.

Refering to Wladimir's 91 clinches right?
I'm sure you are going to get the "rabbit punching" argument from some people.

Was it really only 91? :-( :patsch
96 that I counted.
Which when you think about it is not far from John Ruiz's average (110-115).
You put someone like Robert Byrd in there, and Sam Peter gets the knockout. I have no doubts about it.
And fair enough about the rabbit punches. Nevertheless the clinching over the course of 12 rounds was absolutely instrumental in winning Waldo that fight. That in my eyes makes his victory very dependant on a referee should there be a rematch.

Most of the "rabbit punches" i've seen is from someone basically crouching into a fetal position right in front of him, not like peter gets around and punches too many times to the back of the head of a man standing up. I know "rabbit punches are illegal, but I guess when ever opponents cower in fear and crouch bent over he needs to learn to step back to the middle of the ring and wait for them to stand back up.

As far as the rabbit punches go I watched the fight many times and still came up with the same conclusion everytime, Wlad was having a panic attack and tried bending over to hold peter and Peter let faggot have it. Wlad will be on his back again, and im not talking about a romantic night with his boyfriend.

91 over a 12 round fight where knockdowns occured seems about a right number. Count the rounds where Wlad was KDed his number was probably a lot higher in those rounds. Sub those out to be normal and you got a regular heavyweight fight.

put a ref. in there that won't allow peter to get away with rabbit punches, and the nigerian fat-ass wins one round.....

If Peter wins, will there be a party in Nigeria? That would be cool.
When Chagaev won, his native land gave him royality treatment.

You could say Henry Akinwande, he was WBO champ.

The clinching was the main reason Wladdy survived in that fight. Without it he would've definitely been crushed by Samuel.
BTW I give Peter a pass on the rabbit punching. All those blows behind the head were a direct cause of Klitschko's constant hugging... and clinching is a foul in itself, and I believe in the old school of if he fouls you, then foul him right back. A little bit of vigilante justice by Peter evens itself out in that case.
:yep
Not only that, but the "blatant" rabbit punch in the fifth round was a direct result of Waldo turning his back on Samuel as he was crashing to the canvas. This a result of a clean left hook that landed flush on the jaw.
I have the fight here I watch it once in a great while still. I'd like to see one of the Walnuts defend that one.

That number is nowhere near normal for a heavyweight fight. Maybe 60 clinches would be closer but no way is 96 normal. The only guys you see with clinch numbers over 50-60 are the ones who lack any inside game at all. Or the ones who want to gain an unfair advantage over a smaller opponent.

peter knocks out maskaev, knocks out ibragimov/holyfield but he loses to chagaev by UD. chagaev is a toughster and technically superiour.

Bullshit, Peter aims for the back of the head on purpose.
