View Full Version : Audley Harrison vs. Michael Sprott II
Superheavyweight
09-15-2007, 12:05 PM
Audley says he wants a rematch with Guinn after he knocks out Sprott before he challenges world heavyweight champion and fellow Olympic gold medallist Wladimir Klitschko.
Harrison has said that he doesn’t need Skelton, after the Bedford heavyweight pulled out of their scheduled meeting 9 months ago.
He claims that by winning his rematches and culminating the “beaten every man he’s faced” tag will earn him a showdown with the number one heavyweight in the world.
Following his disappointing split decision loss to Danny Williams in 2005; Harrison came back exactly a year later to knockout Williams in the 3rd round in their rematch, he’s hoping to return the same favour when he meets with Sprott again (coincidently it will be exactly a year later since their first encounter).
Harrison KO 2

He’s been down 7 times and been knocked out 3 times, while Audley has only been down twice.
Audley has a better chin than Wlad IMO.

Wlad has only been down a few times by actual punches. Most of the time was down to stamina.
Even if he was properly knocked down, there's a bit of difference between a Lamon Brewster or Corrie Sanders and Michael Sprott or Danny Williams.
Harrison is D class and the people who hurt him are not much better. Wlad is elite and so are the likes of Sanders, Brewster and Peter.
Klitschko would knock Harrison out in the first round. Seriously knock him out too. Like Harrison was against a feather fisted journeyman, not like Klitschko was against seriously hard hitting elite fighters.

whats with this fraudley has a better chin than wlad nonsense?
wlad has'nt been put to sleep by a single punch. fraudley on the other hand, was brutally ktfo by a single punch from a average hitting journey man at best.
wlad being ko'd was either due to accumulation of punches, and exhaustion. fraudley being ko'd was due to the wetpaper bag of a chin he's sporting.
fraudley's chin cannot be defended.

 Any fighter that can connect a punch with more than 10 pounds of force to any part of his head has his number. As much as all of us laugh at him, it's a truly sad thing. His talent:chin ratio is one of the worst in recent history and there's nothing he can do to help himself.

That would only make sense if all those men he would have beaten would include some top guys. Being 1/1 H2H with the likes of Williams, Sprott and Guinn would hardly make him even a borderline contender. No reason for Wlad to fight Audley even if he beats Sprott and Guinn. It's absurd.

I truly wondered if Harrison had been brain damaged by Sprott when he said that the ref stopped the fight too quickly.
Is this guy mentally fit to enter the ring?
Mind you, he put his losses to Williams and Guinn down to evil spirits or the like.

Skelton; the best British heavy?
Harrison is younger, bigger, and technically more skilled and has more fight experience.

That’s why he secretly pussied out of their fight.

Harrison will prove that Sprott got lucky with a wild punch then the ref should have let the fight go on, it was a premature stoppage as Harrison said. He will get back to the form that saw him beat Krence and Julius Francis....the world title awaits.

Audley has a better chin than Wlad IMO.When I first saw this thread my thoughts were - guy is no frontrunner, he's sticking by one of his fighters. Serious, I'm not being sarcastic (I often use sarcasm in my counters :yep ). Most fans in any sport are notorious frontrunners. Casual fans are the worst !
Now to your comments about Wlad. He may not have a rock chin, but c'mon your guy has been stopped by Sprott. Sanders & Brewster are considered a notch above Sprott in punching power. For a guy w/his size and reach, "A Force" fights a very uh, careful fight. Makes Wlad or LL look like "throw caution to the wind" types  AH is pushing 36. It's soon or never for him.

Wladimir would wipe the floor with Harrison. That would be such a bad beating, it wouldnt even be entertaining, just sad.
It wouldn't be a beating at all. It would be over before Wlad got a chance to actually beat him properly, Wlad would just be about to throw his first power shot when he realised that Audley had been counted out.

Give up mate. Williams had Audley almost out with a glancing shot in their first dire fight and the average power of Sprott had Audley out COLD. He would be hospitalised by someone who hits like Wlad. And Audley does not punch close to as hard as Sanders, Brewster or Peters so it is not even like he has a punchers chance to get in their first.
Strike

Oh come on, it would be that bad. Hell, I bet you my house that Audley would actually make past the 1:00 minute mark of the first round. I figure Wladimir would hit him with maybe 5 or 6 jabs, and after number 6, Harrison would be out on his feet, if he hadnt already gotten knocked down, and Wlad would just hit him with a right hand and send him threw the ropes. KO at 1:21 of Rd 1.
You are obviously a pretty big Harrison fan, fair play to you for backing your man.:good
I don't know if y'all heard this, but the reason behind Sprott knocking Audley out is because he got fucking supercharged because he got electrocuted. Somehow gave Sprott some kind of power boost!
Sounds funny as shit but I remember reading this somewhere.

If Audley is that bad then why is he beating Sprott in the ESB poll?
At least he’s avenging all of his losses; Wladdy boy let big bro handle Sanders and Puritty.
Audley Harrison is a top 15 world heavyweight, at least that’s what BoxRec thinks after he KO’s him in 2.
With his Beaten Every Fighter He’s Ever Faced tag along with his 2000 Olympic gold medal, he’ll warrant enough leverage to call out Klitschko, “one Olympic champion to another” like the big man said.
Peter and Brock got their chance against Wlad; give the Olympic champion his turn.
And the people saying that beating every man that’s put in front of you and an Olympic gold medal doesn’t get you a title shot then which decent fighter did Ray Austin beat to challenge Wlad?
Tyrell Biggs got his chance against Mike Tyson, so it’s only fair that Audley gets his chance against the rock solid chinned Wladimir Klitschko.

If Boxrec puts Fraudley in the top 15, then their ratings will have even LESS credibility than they already do.
Truthfully, I can't believe you're shilling for this GLASS-JAWED JOKE again, my man. It's truly a testament to BLIND FAITH.
Let me ask you this - how many times does Fraudley have to get wobbled by tomato cans, decked by a washed-up Danny Williams, or laid out cold by light-hitting journeyman before you give it and admit his chin is GRADE A CHINA. Will you finally relent when Sprott lays him out cold AGAIN???:huh

Thing is, as easy as it is to predict Sprott smashing Harrison again, Sprott has often been horribly inconsistant in his career.
Basically, we could be getting Audley-Williams I or Audley Williams II, if you see what I mean ;) Sprott is not the kind of fighter you can feel save putting a bet on.
On the other hand...given how outstandingly crap he was against Skelton, perhaps that's his bad fight out of the way for now and he'll be determined to put on a good performance again!
Ahh, I love boxing.

At least he’s avenging all of his losses; Wladdy boy let big bro handle Sanders and Puritty. Based on AH's performances, a past it Sanders would stop him. The Puritty bout is ancient history.
Peter and Brock got their chance against Wlad; give the Olympic champion his turn. First, let AH reach the level of those 2 :yep
...
Tyrell Biggs got his chance against Mike Tyson, so it’s only fair that Audley gets his chance against the rock solid chinned Wladimir Klitschko. You're correct, Wlad does have a rock solid chin - compared to "not a force".

Don't know, but if he can improve his defensive skills and power he has a chance to do something worthy, that is, if he can finish his fights within 7 rounds.
Yes, he has a weak chin, he is not durable, but you should never write off a guy his size and lenght, who can punch.
I'm not saying he will be good, IMO he may very well get KO once again by Sprott.
Can't really understand his decision to fight Guinn, who is B-level fighter, just like Sprott. He won't gain much by fighting, basically, the same oponent twice. He would better take on Skelton or Liakovich, who could put him in a real position for a title fight.
One thing is for certaing though, he has no chance against Wlad.
