El Feroz learns the true meaning of ferocity in this one. How quickly would Tony win this one? I'll be kind and say round 4. no, 3.

Really tough 50-50 fight. The Vargas of Quartey fight could certainly take the win.

Ayala was a quitter. Ayala along with Lewis & Calzaghe are the most overatted fighters on this forum.

Lewis and Calzaghe were/are long reigning champions who fought and beat very good opposition whereas Ayala beat up on nobodies yet gets hyped as some sort of phenom hence he's vastly more overrated than the aforementioned fighters.

Ayala was a dog and doesn't deserve to be mentioned in a classic boxing forum as he achieved fuck all in the ring and disgraced himself outside of it.

Fuck him.

Ayala in 4.....that is if he was off heroin and booze. A clean Ayala.

We should not count the Ayala of 1999 until he went back to prison, either. Who comes back after 16 years and does well in boxing?

Too many accurate shots in combination for Vargas to handle. If Vargas tried to box, which he was good at when he wanted to be (Quartey fight), Ayala would cut him off. He was real astute at cutting off the ring.
