Nover having to face Stout kinda doesnt seem fair since Nover has been beat down in his only 2 UFC bouts and Stout has alot of experience and good wins. I think Stout puts him to sleep. Hope Cantwell-Stann III makes the show I enjoyed their bouts in the WEC as im sure most did. I hope alot of the prelims make it their is some great matchups on their. Tim Credur vs Nate Quarry is a intriguing match I know Credur will have an advantage on the ground but he doesnt mind striking although he is kinda stiff and I think will get brutally KOed if he trys to stand with Nate. Dont know alot about Jake Ellenberger but anytime Carlos Condit is fighting im watching hes always entertaining. Diaz vs Guillard should be very fun because when its standing you know Guillard has a legitmate chance to knock Diazs head clean off while if it hits the ground its probablly good night for Guillard because Nates submission skills are lightyears above Melvins. Why is that the main event though ? Maynard vs Huerta should also be great Huertas always involved in a war and Maynard is on the rise.

Good fighters but some bad style matchups. Maynard is going to take Huerta down whenever he wants and Huerta isn't going to sub him or get stopped. Guillard will only have a shot on the feet and that type of fight ends with the grappler subbing his opponent 9 times out of ten. Stann/Cantwell III is dumb, as Cantwell showed in the second fight that he's just way too technical for Stann. Why not let Stann fight someone like Houston Alexander or someone who will make an interesting fight with him?

I am really looking forward to the Maynard vs Huerta fight.
I am really looking forward to the Maynard vs Huerta fight.
Me too. Huerta is fairly "high-profile" in the division right now. Whether or not that's a result of actual ability or earlier UFC hype is an entirely different question. But whichever it is, he's an increasingly well-known name, whereas Maynard seems to still be flying under the radar. This will be his coming out party.
The main event interests me very little. I've always hated Diaz, and I never quite understood why people even care about Guillard. But the other fights are solid. It will be nice to see Quarry in action again, and Condit should finish his opponent in spectacular fashion.
Why not let Stann fight someone like Houston Alexander or someone who will make an interesting fight with him?
Amen to that. Stann could put on a heck of a show (whether he wins or not) with another banger with no ground ability. Stann may have won the first fight with Cantwell, but he was so seriously outclassed in the second fight that I can't see this one going any other way.
I think Houston would blast Stann, but it would be entertaining for sure.

Sounds like he has quite the history of seizures. That probably doesn't bode well for his career, considering he's already collapsed once on UFC TV.

okay guys, that fight is better than Griffin-Bonnar.
Credeur has a Nog's chin.
Its crazy, he took like 15 flush shot of big right hand, Quarry isnt a stellar striker but he does have power

oh my god, Maynard just had Huertas shoulder seriously fucked up in that kimura; looked like Royler or Renzos shoulders against Sakuraba.

Diaz is either going to dismantle Guillard or get ktfo; I assume the former.

Well so far Guillard is actually fighting much smarter than before rehab, imagine that. His wrestling has always been good, but he's been too wild to take advantage.

And there is the same old Melvin; shoots for a takedown despite absolutely not wanting to be on the ground. Diaz has some great guillotine variations, that one was nasty.

I was really impressed by Guillard, up until he handed Nate his throat. Nate probably had Guillard in his gaurd for a whole 30 seconds in that entire fight and still able to sub him, very impressive.

I love Nates Guillotine I learned it awhile back alot of people assume you need the full guard for Guillotines and that not having both the legs around the back ruin the move. But having that knee underneath really helps you get a great angle for your hips and helps twist the neck making it a choke and a painhold at the same time. Its a incredibly powerful move doesnt take but a secound or 2 for a tap see the Miller-Rosholt,Faber-Pulver II and other fights for proof.
And there is the same old Melvin; shoots for a takedown despite absolutely not wanting to be on the ground. Diaz has some great guillotine variations, that one was nasty.
I was thinking the same thing he takes a guy down who wins most of his matches off his back. None the less Melvin has to develope more of his game besides his right hand.

Melvin fucked himself by going to his old tricks and showing of by playing possum then just throwing that right hand with horrible takedown and by doing that leaving his neck open. Melvin Guillard has alot of great assets but brains isnt exactly one of them.

Great card tonight. The first episode of TUF was good. Too bad they didn't get Kimbo in the cage yet. No doubt they'll try to keep him out as long as possible. All the pros will be gunning for him.
I'm surprised everyone on the show is clowning Roy Big Country Nelson. I think he has the best chance to win the show - considering he is the IFL heavyweight champion and almost had Arlovski beat with a key lock before the worst ref stand up in MMA history.

Well when I seen the line up, ya knew that Kimbo ((IMO)) has no chance to win. I feel he wins his first fight, but then gets beat in the second round. Nelson you can look at and say he has the best record and exp. But with HW, you never know. Hope they don't have all the B.S. that they have had the last few seasons. It turned me off.
Highly entertaining night of fights. I love watching Nate Quarry go to war. It's not pretty, but damn, he takes a beating and still manages to land bombs. He did the same thing with Pete Sell. Those are two of my favorite fights of all time. Nate Quarry will never win the 185 belt, but he = money at 185. I love watching him throw down.

That card was great. On a other note... Rampage once again shows his uncanny ability to pick HORRIBLE match-ups for his team.

Everything about him as a coach is downright terrible.
10 minutes of "Come on, get up" being his one piece of advice.

I think he figured out about two minutes in that this Abe fellow was just going to close guard and try not to get tko'd. What can you do with a guy like that?

True, and I love Rampage... but he is an awful coach. At least in the corner. Rampage isn't a technical fighter to begin with.

Seriously, great card, every single fight was entertaining, every fighter wanted to win and win big. Should've been called "Fight Night 19 - Rent Money".

Could have at least pulled what Hughes did:
"Yea, thats great, just lay there and get beat. Just quit, why don't you just quit?"
Maybe try to at least get him to do something.

Because I don't think Rampage even cared about what happened TO Wagner... only what it meant for him and his considerations.
