According to Boxrec, these two will be boxing on the undercard of the Liverpool show - Billy Joe Saunders is boxing on the undercard of the Rogan vs Sexton fight, so maybe the 'Olympians' are finally separating?
Brook vs Jennings
Smith vs Quigley
Maccarinelli vs TBA
DeGale vs TBA
Gavin vs TBA
As long as the opponents for Enzo, DeGale and Gavin are of a decent enough level, then I can safely say this is shaping up to be the best Friday Fight Night of the year :good

Don't count on it. I see bums in their forseeable future. :yep
Still a good card, the 2 headliners make it.

If DeGale gets an opponent like he did last time, and Enzo gets someone who is not a complete walk over, then I will be happy :yep:good

Like he did last time? Healy? The guy that caved in from a few bodyshots in the first round? Yeah that was a thriller :p

 It was a step up :D
I've got an inside line on DeGale's rumoured opponent...
He's never been beaten in a title fight, and he's never lost a single fight that has gone to the cards.
I'm pleased to announce...

degale confirmed this on the big fight review interview, these guys should be much busier then they are and should be fighting at least once a month especially with their amateur experience. the long periods of inactivity at this stage is ridiculous

I'd break them up as well, give them identites rather than just ''The Olympians''.

I really want to go and see this show, the only thing thats stopping me is that the final national express back leaves Liverpool at 11.40pm, and I can't see it being over for then. Don't really fancy booking a room as well.

The guy he faced in his second fight would have struggled with my 18 month old nephew.
He was absolutely awful.

Yeah, of course it was.
Regardless, you would expect a better opponent for a prospect as hyped as DeGale is - I get on Khan's case a fair bit, but his opposition in his first five fights was the sort you ought to be going up against.

In Khans first 3 fights his opponents had only won 15% of there fights. DeGales had won 55%........
Healy was a decent opponent for his 3rd fight. He faced better oppo than Sutherland and Jeffries had faced.

Records aren't that important when assessing the quality of opposition early in a guy's career.
Healy wasn't a bad opponent, probably better than Steve Gethin, who Khan faced in his 3rd fight.
Baz Carey was way better than that French joker, I'd back the Baz of today to beat him despite giving away nearly two stone in weight - he was fucking shite.
(I think he was French anyway)

so far DeGale has fought a guy who went 4 rounds with sutherland, a guy who was undefeated (i know i know) and healy. i think thats pretty good and certainly better than what Gavin and Saunders have faced. also both have been coming in well above the weight they should be fighting at.

I agree with you on Saunders certainly, Gavin less so.
IMO they should all be pushed now into 8 rounders rather than having to beat every joke opponent on the circuit.

I'm just hoping they dont drop one of the above fights so that they can show the olympians ala Khan/Kotelnik PPV.

Sadly, it could happen - the Olympians under ****** are contractually obligated to have all of their appearances screened by Sky. So, hopefully one of the two main fights finishes early!

The fuck is Saunders? Oh well, at least Gavin's fighting, I probably like him the best. And jesus fucking christ, DeGale, change your damn nickname and your damn entrance music, its woefully woeful.
I presume Macca won't be on TV though, when they showed the clip of his face on the Khan undercard I just lol'd. Poor guy can't catch a break, though I've liked him ever since he tried to come back from the Haye knockdown, when he jogs back to his corner and the referee's just shakes his head and hugs him I laugh everytime.

Buckley stopped turning up to win ages ago - I reckon he wasn't far away from losing his licence.
The only reason why he won his last fight is because the opponent was handpicked :deal
This would be a step backwards for Gavin from his last opponent, who wasn't up to much but was tough.
Typical SN bullshit if this goes ahead :-(
