"I have the personal desire of testing myself against Brock Lesnar, who is haunting. He's a monster of strength, but is technical, too. My tactic would be to keep him at distance, not to let him get a hold on me. Otherwise, the punishment would be enormous."

Lesnar via Murder.:thumbsup Bingo. Machida must not realise this is Lesnar where talking about not Bob Sapp who couldnt close a distance without getting out of breath even if the opponent was one step away from him. Lesnar would take him down tear his arms off and pound the rest of Machida straight back to Brazil and Japan at the same time through the earths crust. Ok Machida we know you've arrived but lets not run away with that now...

Machida might be elusive, but I don't see any possible way he could keep Lesnar off him. He's not strong nor fast enough to stuff the shot from hell. It's like a matador with a bull, except this matador has no spear, sword, or red flag. TKO Bull 1.

(Still, I'd like to see him try!)

On a side note.

Lesnars actual takedown ability isnt quite as good as some make out. He has just never fought anybody with a world class sprawl.

I mean don't get me wrong, he has great takedowns. But he doesn't have the shot from hell. Is more like when he shoots and grabs on he is so big and strong, an average takedown which would normally be stuffed can be effective.

But isn't his strength and size all part of his takedown? Maybe it's not technically flawless, but the fact of the matter is, average technical ability combined with freakish physical gifts = shot from hell. I'm as big a Cro Cop fan there is, and I don't even think in his prime he would have kept close to keeping Lesnar standing.

Machida wouldn't hurt a fly. Literally, his kick are that weak.

He's elusive but he's not a shadow. Plus the Octagon will look like a pill box by the time Lesnar would get hold him.

I would love to see this fight - however Lyoto needs to defend his title once or twice before challenging Brock Lesnar.

He's already more or less established as the best lt hv there is. his run to the title was unbelievable int erms of the names he beat.
