I don't really mind boxing being kept on the low down these days. Means you don't get as many people running around going on about how THERE'S ONLY ONEEEEEE DAVID HAYE or some shit. The general public of England generally know nothing of boxing anyway, as we're always just looking for a fucking idol. That's my main pet peeve about our country, we generally don't care about any sport except football but will not shut the fuck up when we win the Ashes or Wimbledon (it's an example, it'll never happen) or the Rugby or some other bullshit.

As long as I can watch boxing, and there is a hardcore of fans that follow the sport, I don't care if popular or not. In fact, I prefer it not to be. Because, as you say, if it were as popular as say, football, then you'd have every idiot in the country spouting some poorly informed opinion about Calzaghe being stone-for-stone better than Duran, or Ricky Hatton being the best middleweight ever.
