I think we all agree that Mundine needs to step it up in 2008 and close the gap on rankings of fighters next year. No longer can he fight top 100 guys then expect be be ready for top 1 or 2. Also no longer will the Aussie public stand for average fights.

So I have compiled my list of top 10 fights Mundine should look for in the next year.

1. Winner of Joe VS Kess
2. Larsen
3. Allen Green
4. Bute
5. Froch
6. Lacey
7. Inkin
8. Andre
9. Sanavia
10. Danny Green if he wins a world title

Lots more to look at but I will be happy if Mundine fights just one of these guys.

Whats your top 10?

No point in Mundine fighting the guy who loses this fight.

fair crack, won't fight any of them as they are all currently ranked.

it will be a south american or asian taxi driver coming up from middle or junior middle.

Mundine frustrates the fuck out of me.So much potential but he just doesnt step it up.

He could beat every supermiddle out there but he is very mentally weak.
He doubts himself more than one would believe. His cockiness is all a front.

Even though i dont like the bloke i still have to admit i would love to see a aussie in the p4p rankings as a undisputed world champ, and i think mundine is the man at the moment to do that.

Mundines got to step up in 2008 against one or two of these guys if he wants a real title...otherwise he will just defend his regular title against top 100 guys until the cows come home.

Why? The guy will still be better than Mundine.;)If JC gets knocked the fuck out by Kessler that doesnt mean he is better than Mundine.

Let JC and Mundine fight to see who is better.

I agree, and that was why I said Mundine fighting the loser would be a good fight too. Look at my ranking. I was answering ashley who said that there would be no point in fighting the loser.

The latest I have heard is that the eye is now clear (no redness) is still blurred vision and should be right in a month or so.
Have also been told that he is now more hungry then ever and is keen to get back in the ring.
just hope he stepps it up against good opposition.

The point is that if Mundine got beat by the loser of the big fight then that would be it for Mundine......so from his point of view its 2 risky.

Because of his latest injury and because we dont know the extent of it i say it will more than likely be someone like a Nievas or of his qaulity just until Mundine feels comfortable again.

Maybe a Jesse Brinkley or a Joey Spina. That would be my guess.

We know he is fighting some french nobody which im ok with considering his eye injury but the way its sounds dont be surprised if it is Spina or Brinkley after that.

He will never fight Kessler again and you can forget about him fighting Calzaghe.

I feel he should be in 2008 going after Denis Inkin.

How do you think Mundine would go against Miranda now he's moved up?

How do you think Mundine would go against Miranda now he's moved up?He would handle Miranda without very comfortably. He'd be wary early on but once he got into his rythm he would land the right hand easy...may even stop him.
